After reading all the reviews I was looking forward to my stay at Adventure Queenstown. Unfortunately it was the worst hostel during my stay in NZ. I stayed in the female 5 bed dorm. I was disappointed to find hair between the sheet and doona. Surprisingly there is only one base sheet and no top sheet. Linen was quite worn... More

Thank you for your feedback, it’s always great to hear when our guests enjoy our social atmosphere, great location, and all the activities we organise. We were sorry to hear that your bed was not to your satisfaction, when you brought it to our attention we had it changed immediately. We are however pleased to hear that you found our... More

We were thru hiking the Te Araroa and stayed for two days during our hike. This was our favorite hostel and we returned to it post-trail for 3 nights purposely because it was that awesome. Queenstown is a huge town (for NZ) and quite busy. There are probably 20-something hostels, but we made a reservation weeks out. When we realized... More

Stayed for 4 nights in a 5-bed female ensuite, and wow...if only all hostels were like this one! Loads of amenities, the hairdryer and straightener included was great. The facilities are nice as well, two balconies offer a great spot for sun bathing or people watching. Bathrooms were nice and newly refurbished. Staff on site is friendly and helpful with... More

The location was right in downtown Queenstown and it had great views of the city and surrounding mountains. The staff was really friendly and would book an trip for you with no booking fee. They also do trivia night, movie night, etc. which was pretty fun. The beds were very comfortable and the showers/bathrooms were always clean.

We had a very comfortable, cozy 4 bed room with en suite and bright window. The common spaces were many and generous and varied--lots of options for hanging out, cooking, admiring the view. They had everything one could ask for on offer--from ipad loaners to instruments to adapters to go pros--basically anything one might have forgotten but need. They had... More

The room is a little cramped but this hostel was superb. It was very clean, had excellent facilities, generous free stuff and a great atmosphere. The location is excellent and the hostel is good value for money. I would highly recommend this hostel.

Traveled solo around Southeast Asia, Australia, and NZ for four months and this was my last spot. It turns out I accidentally saved THE best for last- I have zero complaints about my time at AQ. There are activities every night to bring people together, facilities are unreal levels of comfortable and clean, common areas are fantastic, and the staff... More

Had an amazing stay here other then some American staff member named Dan. He made me embarrassed to be American. He said that he was going to be a new manager while we were all hanging out and then after a few drinks started to talk negatively about some the staff and previous guests. I could believe my ears. I... More

This review is all overdue. But if you are looking for the best place to stay in Queenstown, look no further! I usually travel solo and AQ Hostel has thought of everything. Everyone is so accommodating and friendly. You wouldn't feel like you're away from. The only problem you'll have is that you would not want to leave.
