What a gorgeous place to stay if you are visiting Queenstown. Margie and Ned are amazing hosts and great cooks and you feel really well looked after during your stay. The property is lovely and private; surrounded by gorgeous mountain views and Coronet Peak feels just a stones throw away. A great getaway - I'll definitely be back!

Having stayed here last year July 2014, I was happy to return in July 2015. The welcome and the kindness that I remembered from the previous year were just as warm and just as genuine second time round. The service is second to none. I cannot recommend Bearsden too highly and I have no hesitation in so doing.

My husband and I decided to try a bed and breakfast for our 4 day break in Queenstown. I'm so glad we did. We felt like we had moved into a home away from home, in beautiful surroundings. Margie and Ned made us feel so welcome and were helpful at every turn...and the breakfasts were to die for!!! We had... More

It's a perfect location, near town but set in the relaxing countryside. Facilities were modern and comfortable. The warmth and hospitality offered by our hosts rounded off an ideal stay. Invite them to join you for breakfast to enjoy their conversation. This is a couple you'd like to have as friends.

We stayed at Bearsden in March 2014 ( see review 23 April 2014). We promised Margie and Ned we would return albeit thinking it might not be for several years. However an unexpected chance to come over from the UK and stay with our family in Wellington recently allowed the perfect opportunity to have a few days relaxing "our time"... More

Hello again Jim and Linda It was such a treat to see you guys again-just a year later. You feel just like family. I enjoyed our breakfast talks. Once again, thank you so much for returning for a second time. Ned and I look forward to seeing you again in the next couple of years. Until then, all the best.... More

If you're looking for a place to stay near Queenstown, look no further. This is the one. My wife and I had the fortune to stay at the Bearsden B&B on our honeymoon in December of 2014. Queenstown was the last stop on our adventure and it happened to be New Years Eve while we were there. Margie and her... More

Hi Meredith Thank you so much for your lovely detailed review. Sorry it has taken me this long to acknowledge it. It was a pleasure to meet you both at this special time in your lives and not a problem driving you into town for NY. We would love to welcome you back here again. In the meantime, all the... More

I was fortunate enough to stay at Bearsden two separate times, once during the winter and once in spring. During the winter, it is the perfect location for a quieter ski holiday. You have Coronet Peak practically across the street and the rest of the QT area ski fields easily accessible. Bearsden is removed enough from the Queenstown shenanigans to... More

Margie and Nic make you feel at home as soon as you pass through the gate of their B&B. Their goal is to make your stay memorable which they did for my wife and me. Day 1, Margie saved us considerable time and money by recommending we change our tour departure to Frankton rather than downtown Queenstown. Frankton was much... More

We had a lovely welcome from Margie and the room was everything we expected. Breakfasts were a real treat with a great choice and cooking. The spa pool under the stars was fabulous and the ability to relax in a beautiful garden during our stay was great. Ideal location for Queenstown Airport and would certainly use again.

We had an all too brief stay at Bearsden recently and cannot recommend it highly enough. The setting is beautiful, the accommodation tastefully furnished and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was the best we have had in our 4 weeks in New Zealand so far! Margie is an excellent host!

Hello again Thanks so much for your review and it was sad that you couldn't have stayed longer. February is a busy time of year here so we are grateful that you were able to stay for the time you did. Thank you also for your kind comments on our hosting and cleanliness. It is much appreciated and nice that... More
