Having stayed for 4 nights at Bearsden in early August this year, we understand why the reviews for this place are so good. The hosts, Margie and Ned, thought of everything to make our stay in this amazing place as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. We could not speak more highly of this B&B or Margie and Ned as hosts.... More

Hi guys Thank you so much for your review and your lovely comments. Ned enjoyed having full control of the kitchen while I recovered from the flu and enjoyed your company. Look forward to spending more time with you next time. All the best. Margie & Ned More

We thoroughly enjoyed our five nights at Bearsden. Margie was a superb host making us feel very welcome, and breakfast was always a delight. The place is warm and elegant, and the spa was heavenly after a day of skiing. Bearsden is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Queenstown yet convenient to ski fields and Arrowtown. Overall we... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in March as part of a tour of NZ. Excellent location away from the congestion of Queenstown, but handy for the tasty places to eat and shop in Arrowtown. Comfortable room overlooking the garden and the mountains beyond. Bedroom rather small but a large sitting room is available for guests to use. Breakfast in... More

From the moment we pulled up at the gate I knew we had found something special. The Bearsden is an elegant bed and breakfast with breathtaking views and great hosts. Margie, Ned and Bruno made us feel more than comfortable and at home and every recomendation from places to eat to things to do were spot on, not to mention... More

We visited Bearsden B&B for a mini-break from Southland, and we couldn't have been more pleased with our choice. The whole B&B is warm, elegant and beautifully finished. We had the outdoor spa, lounge, kitchen/dining, and roaring fire all to ourselves. Our room was lovely and cosy warm, the breakfast was one of the best we've had, the surroundings were... More

Hi guys. Thanks so much for your review. It was great chatting with you over breakfast. The snow has come and gone from around the house, but still plenty on the mountains. Look forward to seeing you both again soon. Stay warm. Margie More

From the moment we arrived till the time we left we enjoyed a wonderful stay in the company of our hosts, Margie and Ned. The location is far enough away from the hassle and bussle of the centre of Queenstown but close enough to be at the heart of the regions attractions, enabling for a relaxing stay and being handy... Margie and Ned are great. We stayed two nights and they made us totally at home whilst we were there, even packing us off with fresh fruit each day. Our garden facing room was compact and bijoux but was exactly as Margie had described. Ned's advice to visit Doubtful, rather than Milford Sound, given the prevailing weather and the necessary... A fantastic B & B. Excellent location both as regards the immediate views from Bearsden itself as well as ease of access to Queenstown, Arrowtown, plus the lakes, scenery and wineries of Otago generally, Wonderful accommodation, breakfasts, and unexpected "treats" such as Margie's own cheesecake. Bearsden was a fabulous place to return to at the end of a day's sightseeing... More

Margie and Ned are truly exceptional hosts with accommodation to match - stylish yet comfortable and with stunning views over the Cardrona ski range. During a three night stay we made repeated use of the spa pool, gorgeous guest lounge and the mountain bikes with which a circuit of the nearby Lake Hayes is an absolute ‘must do’. A delicious... This was our second time staying at Bearsden, we just couldn't stay away!
