Stayed at Nomads Queenstown for a week long ski holiday. The hostel is located in a perfect spot. Not on an overly busy street. The staff at the front desk were excellent. Very friendly and welcoming. Very organised as well. The staff at the travel desk were equally as good when booking activities. The hostel itself is very clean and... More

We stayed a few nights in a private room recently. First impression was great for a backpackers, friendly, helpful welcome. The room was nice. We had a perfect view of the mountains and lake, and nice warm heat pump so were never cold. Only minor gripe was the fan in the bathroom that was permanently on. It was loud enough... More

3 of us intended to stay here for 3 days and we loved it so much we stayed for 9! The social vibe here is great and the attentive staff and no alcohol policy means the party atmosphere never gets out of hand. The staff are brilliant and Denny at the travel desk was a super star. She helped us... More

Loved this hostel -- it was clean, great location, fun atmosphere, breakfast (toast & jam), and relatively quiet given its central location. I would definitely stay here again if I returned to Queenstown.

I have stayed here twice in my travels through New Zealand, once on a bus tour and another while on a road trip with my girlfriend. I have to say there is a reason that they won the best hostel/backpacker award, it is far and away the best place I stayed outside of a luxury hotel. Everything is maintained well,... More

Queenstown in general is pretty pricey, but this backpackers is not only affordable it's also really clean, fun and inviting. I stayed during the winter where temperatures got as low as -7 degrees but never once felt cold in my room or any other areas. There's log fires in the common room which is really nice to hang out in.... More

I stayed here with a large group for 8 nights. The rooms were tidy and cleaned daily. The free breakfast and dinner was very helpful for saving extra money and the staff were always willing to help out. The bathrooms were very clean the showers were just like home. Overall this is the best backpackers I've ever stayed it. I... More
