We stayed here twice on a recent trip, at the start and end of our holiday. First stay we were upgraded to one of the newer rooms, second stay we were in the older alpha block. Both were clean, well appointed and quiet. The newer rooms have wonderful decor but are smaller, the older room, while the decor is a... More

The Queenstown Motel Apartments is a great place to stay. Located within walking distance from the city center, it is clean, comfortable and has unlimited wi-fi. The hosts, Dianne, Peter and Vanessa are very knowledgeable and helpful. We had a number of questions about places to eat, and their suggestions were excellent. After travelling to different locations in new Zealand,... More

Reasonable price, exceptionally clean, well equipped and nicely furnished motel. Free unlimited WiFi. Short walk from the town centre, with hill to walk up on the way back but not overly onerous. Would definitely recommend, especially if you prefer a bath to a shower. Helpful staff.

After a nice quiet place to chill out in Queenstown after a few too many noisy hostels, I gave Queenstown Motel Apartments a shot. At $135 for a studio room, the price seemed right. Quite honestly, I couldn't fault this place. Out of the main CBD just slightly, QMA is still very central and only a few minutes walk from... More

Neat, clean rooms. Had all the basic amenities needed. Hosts were helpful and gave us a great introduction to the place, including telling us the best walks down to the main part of town. Well-located, with a good view across the lake either from the balcony outside the room, or walk just across the road for a better view of... More

Arrived late afternoon to light rain but upon waking the next morning and pulling aside the curtains of Unit 16 the sunlit views of Lake Wakatipu and The Remarkables were fabulous. Photos were immediately taken and sent to family and friends in Australia. The Unit was spacious, clean, and had microwave, jug, toaster, all that we needed to eat in... More

We stayed 9 different accommodations in New Zealand, and quite frankly, they were all very similar in room layout, age, and cost. Unlike most North American motels, most of the units we stayed in had a kitchen unit with cooking utensils and cutlery, usually along with a toaster and coffee maker. All of the units provided a few sachets of... More

10 out of 10. Highly recommended. Helpful friendly owner. Laundry on site. There is also a washline you can use instead of the tumble dryer. Microwave, kettle, toaster. Downstairs unit has door onto private patio. :-)

The Queenstown Motel Apartments are a short, enjoyable walk into the center of town. We stayed in room #4 which has a jetted tub and a beautiful view of the lake and the gondola. If you're a 'foodie' then make sure you speak with Vanessa, the manager during our stay. She prides herself on knowing all the Queenstown restaurants--and, she... More
