Love the Rees. The hotel is nice and the room was clean. Staff were friendly and very patient to help us out for our tours booking. They have shuttle bus service between hotel and town centre. We had a great time staying at The Rees. Definitely we will come back again.

My partner and I are from Australia and stayed at The Rees during July 2011. We had a great holiday in general and are looking forward to returning and staying at The Rees next year with friends. The hotel is delightful with amazing views and a relaxing atmosphere within their “homey” but modern designed rooms. Upon arrival in Queenstown, we... More

We stayed at the Rees Hotel for four days/three nights. This was an AMAZING hotel to stay while enjoying Queenstown. The rooms are very nice and big. The bathrooms/bedrooms are very clean. We had a beautiful view from our balcony overlooking the lake. The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating helping us with car rentals, etc. Enjoy the 20... More

We had a delightful stay at this hotel. It is a short walk to Queenstown and the views over the lake are just spectacular. The rooms are large and spacious. Good quality and priced well. The hotel was very helpful in booking us activities, our only let down was the restaurant that got recommended to us. But worth staying here.

We stayed here for four beautiful nights and it was awesome all four nights. Definitely the place to base yourselves while exploring what Queenstown has to offer. The views from our well-appointed room's balcony was postcard-perfect, and the staff were friendly and professional. Might be abit far off from town though, if you're not planning on driving.

I am writing this review while looking out into Lake Wakatipu in my lakeview apartment at the Rees. We have stayed here for 4 wonderful nights and will feel sad leaving it today. We are a family with 3 kids, the youngest being 5. The Rees has kindly agreed at my request during booking for us to stay in a... More

The Rees wasn't exactly what we expected, but not in a bad way ... just much more modern than any of the other places we stayed. Our room was large and well appointed. Service was excellent. We thought the main restaurant menu was a little overdone and overpriced, but the food was very good.

Had two rooms here over the past couple of days and while the rooms are quite nice, views excellent and location good (it is roughly a 45-60 minute walk into town on the pleasant lakeside trail, highly recommend the water taxi, return price is $15pp, great value!) the staff while pleasant just don't seem to be organized well enough. My boyfriend and I stayed at the Rees in a studio room for five nights in early December and it was a very pleasant stay. The lobby, common areas and general ambience of the hotel was great, it really felt luxurious. The room itself, however, was very bland and not what we'd expect for a hotel with this star rating....
