Easily the best property I have stayed at in Queenstown. The rooms are superb with great views, staff excellent and helpful and the restaurant was wonderful. I will be back. For those that are concerned about the location the hotel shuttle makes it easy to get around and you don't have to worry about parking in Queenstown which can be... More

The hotel is magnificent. Perfectly appointed. Lakeview rooms are spectacular. Staff is very professional and accomodating. It's a bit outside of town, but we took that as a plus. They offer hourly shuttle service to town, so unless you are touring outside of Queenstown proper, you can skip a rental car. More

The lodging itself was perfect- -modern, roomy, quiet, clean and comfortable. The view from our lakeside hotel room did not dissappoint and the walk to town was refreshing with the lake ever present and beautiful Queenstown Gardens at the end. When we didn't feel like walking the free shuttle was a timely alternative. Without exception, the staff was friendly, helpful... More

You could not complain about staying at the Rees, but I think there are a few things that the hotel could do better. The rooms are luxurious - spacious, with huge comfortable beds, generous lounge areas, up-to-date music and television equipment, a well-stocked kitchen and a very welcome and practical in-room laundry facility. It would be impossible to change this,... More

We had intended to stay 2 nights at The Rees and then move to another hotel in Queenstown for the last few days of our 4 week trip to NZ. However, we liked it so much we stayed for 5 nights and had a lovely time. For us, the location being away from Queenstown was an advantage as the town... More

the view from our apartments at the rees was fabulous. i can only imagine how much more beautiful it would be with snow on the remarkables. we enjoyed being just out of "town" and the walk is about half an hour including through the botanic gardens. had a great breakfast on our last day but the facilties in the apartment... I spent a long time selecting hotels for my trip to New Zealand, as my girlfriend had never stayed in a nice hotel before and I wanted her experience to be fantastic. I eventually settled on this hotel because of the good reviews on TripAdvisor. However, despite pre-booking one of the more expensive rooms, I was disappointed to discover the... More

Last stop of out NZ trip. My overall impression for The REES is good, good amentities, spacious, clean and comfort room during our 2-night stay, view from the room is excellent though the location is a disadvantage, 3km away from the Queenstown centre, just between the town center and airport, better get a car for your own converiences. The hotel... More

We stayed here for three nights. On arrival there was a little mix up with our reservation which was frustrating but these things can happen. What was really inexcusable was the time we had to spend waiting at the check in area for things to be sorted out, we arrived with two obviously hungry, tired children and were not offered... More

We stayed here for two nights as part of our honeymoon in NZ. The room we stayed in had fabulous views across the lake. These were only spoilt by the unfinished area in front of the hotel where they have plans to build 'phase 3' of the development. It is a shame that some temporary landscaping has not been carried...
