Better than expected , walking distance to CBD, nice lake and mountain view, clean and fresh shared room. We love cooking and we have a huge communal kitchen with all cooking utensils. cheapest in town , but service from the heart, The manager and front staffs are so helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed staying there and will come back... More

The room we had was meant to be a double room, but the bed wasn't a double but it was a single bed and a camp stretcher with a thin mattress on top. when we went to go to bed the beds separated. We complained the next day and got a better room. The bathroom in the first room wasn't... More

Stayed there for a couple of nights. Access to the site is through a very steep hill which is hard going by foot. It's about 15min walk to the town center. Free breakfast in the morning, unlimited toasts and cereals, the quality is decent as well as I've had free breakfast other places where the bread was tasteless and milk... More

The room and the accommodation itself turned out to be nothing like what it was advertised on their website. Definitely misleading information, for one the motel was not advertised as being a backpackers lodge which it clearly turned out to be and we only realised when we walked in. The motel is located at the top of a hill and... More

This accommodation is up the hill about 10min walk to the town. The accommodation has a good free breakfast. The downside is: Little cold in the lounge and there is no atmosphere there. The kitchen fridge is so small and so dirty you wouldn't want to put your food there! There was a leak in the kitchen covering half the... More

Room was much as expected, no telly which was a bit of a shame, but room was clean, had everything we needed, and had a great shower with brilliant water pressure. Free breakfast was basic (cereals or toast) but was a nice addition and reminded me of school camps! Bit of a steep drive to walk up, but views were... More

Good location a bit away from the city (10min walk) but the hill to walk up is massive. Quiet and clean room. Had a three night stay with gorgeous views of Queenstown. They offer free breakfast but I never took advantage of it. Common areas where clean. And internet was a great deal compared to other hotels in NZ. $5... More

My wife booked a 4 day stay in the Queenstown area and then realised we needed to be in Te Anau for 2 of those days. They took the full 100% off us when we tried to change the dates 59 days out from the booking. Their terms state 100% within 60 days. They were not willing to discuss or... More

On arrival it was clear this is a backpackers lodge not what i took from their advertisement. The room we were given did not appear to have been made up. The downstairs bed was an old settee with an old mattress on top with a tilt to the right hand.Sheet was crumpled and quilt cover. This is an overpriced Lodge.Communal... More
