Stayed here for two nights in June and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were really accommodating and so helpful on check-in. They gave us loads of tips about where to go and what to do. The highlights for me were the peaceful, quiet surrounds, the ability to self cater, the size of the room and the brilliant staff. Thank you... More

My friend stayed in Reaver Lodge for 5 nights and I often visited my friend her when she was there. The room was very comfortable, especially warm in winter . Staffs were very friendly and helpful for guests. Receptionists were always ready to support and help her information effectively and full details. She told me she would come back to... More

We were enjoying a luxurious luke warm spa at night talking quietly as required when a man appearing drunk came up to us and swore, threaten to call the police because we were smoking tobacco and then started counting down for us to get out otherwise he would physically remove us. He asked us for our room number which we... More

We recently stayed at this Lodge for a total of 3 nights, it should be advertised for back packers to stay. The first night we had someone in the room above making noises until about 3 am the second night after complaining, the noises stopped at around 12.30 am.Also the laundry room was quite close to our room with people... Be warned. You won't be staying at a Lodge, you'll be staying at a backpacker. 1. Waking up three times a night to the drunken children yelling is just great. 2. Walking up the massive hill is just great. 3. Not being able to stand in the "bedroom" area is just great 4.The bathroom sliding door didn't slide all the... More

Where do I start... First of all this place has so many stupid rules in place for a luxury backpackers (because that is what it is) 1. No noise after 10pm including weekends 2. Public areas shut at quarter to 10 weekdays and quarter to 11 on weekends. We booked to stay here for my friends 21st without any knowledge... More

This place is so nice, relaxing and peaceful but this has a fun vibe! Its kinda backpackers - kinda hotel, theres all different people there, you can socialise like a backpackers and they have a communal room with pool tables and tv etc and its a close walk to town. We stayed in a room with a loft bed -... More

There was a steep climb, there was very little headspace in the loft space, there were other niggling things. But none of it mattered and I mean NONE because the crisp, white, clean, cool sheets were out of this world. I would not hesitate to recommend this low budget, well run, no frills lodge. Plus breakfast thrown in which is... More

We stayed here during our last night in NZ. Was pleasantly surprised to get the loft-style kind of room which we liked and it was a nice wrap-up to our final night of our honeymoon. Comfortable and more than sufficient amenities which was great. However, the many stairs from the reception to our room (at the 3rd floor nonetheless) were... More

The lounge/ kitchen area was big, as was the t.v , but no table and chairs to have your meal on, maybe the expect you to go downstairs and join the others !!! The rooms were cramped with bunk beds and a double bed pushed against one wall. The bath was so low you would have to roll out. There... More
