My wife booked a 4 day stay in the Queenstown area and then realised we needed to be in Te Anau for 2 of those days. They took the full 100% off us when we tried to change the dates 59 days out from the booking. Their terms state 100% within 60 days. They were not willing to discuss or... More

On arrival it was clear this is a backpackers lodge not what i took from their advertisement. The room we were given did not appear to have been made up. The downstairs bed was an old settee with an old mattress on top with a tilt to the right hand.Sheet was crumpled and quilt cover. This is an overpriced Lodge.Communal... More

The staff at Reavers were very helpful MOST of the time. One staff member treated myself and my partner like we were an inconvenience. The management were very apologetic when a particular group of travellers set off the fire alarms in early hours of the morning. If you are not interested in partying or being kept up by drinkers then... More

My friend and I both booked a bed in a 4-bed dorm, but upon arriving found that there were in fact 6 beds. We had not been advised about this change, nor is a 6-bed dorm advertised on their website. Unfortunately our disappointment did not end there. The metal bunk beds squeaked, even with the slightest of movements - so... More

This lodge is very much a backpackers. Reviewing it as such, the room was adequate. We were hit by a strong smell of chlorine as we entered. The bathrooms had probably just been cleaned since our check-in of 2 had been postponed to 3. A wet spot in the carpet when we arrived didn't end up drying at all over... More

Booked a loft and stayed for 3 nights. I found the room to be clean and decently maintained. The beds and linens were much nicer than I would have expected for a value accommodation. My only complaint is that the way the hotel is situated and built, you can hear every noise (I mean everything) - a conversation in the... More

Nowhere on the web did we see that this accommodation was in fact a backpackers. We arrived as a family to find a tiny room with bunks, with loud patrons drinking and playing music in the courtyard. Walls were thin and the bathroom barely fit a human inside. This is NOT a family place! Avoid if you are looking for... More

Unless you are young and looking to party 24/7 this place should be avoided. We had a room next to the door that leads to the stairway and we were kept up all night by people walking through the door and letting it slam back into place. All of the other people at the lodge were young, rowdy and disrespectful,... More

We took a loft room for three nights. The space was so constrained that I had to walk on my knees to get by! I asked them for cleaning the room as we are going to spend three nights. They replied " sorry we are giving you cheap price so no room service" hello! what of if checked out every... More

On my previous stay in the same class of room there was a couch, in my latest stay this is now a spare bed, this makes the room less confortable. and gives very little room to relax in. The TV is a 13" LCD, which is far too small for any hotel/motel, and only some of the freeview channels were... More
