We were staying for one night and had originally booked a backpacker style room but on arrival asked if there were any chalets available, and we got the last one! Definitely worth the extra money, and the staff processed the change very quickly. The staff were very friendly and helpful and covered off all the information very well. We had... More

We spent a couple of nights in one of the Mountain View Chalets and it was absolutely beautiful. The chalet itself was really nicely designed and furnished, and the views from the patio were incredible. Only downside was the wifi which you have to go the restaurant to use and it's crazy slow and cuts out constantly. Although I don't... More

Situated right in Milford Sound area, Milford Lodge can cater for all budgets, from a bed in a dorm which we booked to chalets. The front staff was friendly and helpful, most were young travellers from overseas on working holiday. They gave some good tips. Cafe food was good as well and reasonably priced considering remote location. Self-service kitchen is... More

Milford Lodge is a quaint comfortable clean lodge in an awesome location. Remote area - but it included a rustic cafe. Close driving distance to kayaking and extraordinary hikes. I would definetely return.

The lodge is very well sitted, 5 minutes only from the morning activity we had planned (kayaking on the Sound). Very nice team, clean beds in the dormitory rooms. Food was good and abundant. What to regret : lots of sand flees, mind the scratching / noisy people on the dormitory room prevented us from having a good night sleep... More

This place is just beautiful. The views are splendid and worth every cent we spent on this place. The room, the set-up, the decor and everything about it - AWESOME. The service was a bit of a disappointment. 1. We take 5 hours to get here. we get here at 12. We were allowed to check in only at 2... More

We stayed a mountain view cabin for 2 nights which has a fabulous location, gorgeous view and quite luxurious. There were 4 of us including 2 teens. It's just one room meant for couples mainly as there is just one queen and a small sofa bed, but we improvised with the bedding so that one teen slept on sofa cushions... More

We stayed in the front Chalets and its the best. For the cost, do it once, you will never regret it. Just to absorb the waterfalls & the river in front of you. The Chalets were magic. heated floors, glass on two walls. This place is fantastic. they also have cabins, camp grounds & packpacker rooms. If there is 1... More

This is a beautiful campsite, immersed in nature with really friendly and helpful staff. There is a nature guide to tell you about flora and fauna and a pilot who can advise on scenic flights etc. Nice cafe on site. There aren't really any good walks straight from the lodge - you need to book transport to the Milford track... More

We stayed in a riverside Chalet with epic views of a mountainside alive with waterfalls. The room is quite nice and relatively new. The bed was comfortable and had a serviceable bathroom with shower. Car parking was next to the chalet. Campervans can park at powered sites nearby. The reception facility had a communal kitchen and lounge/restaurant. Dorms are nearby... More
