The most perfect of settings at the bottom of snow peaked mountains within walking distance of the cruise ships port for Milford sound but far enough to be in total silence. I stayed in the twin room and the service the staff provided was excellant as well as the facilities for only $100. Also another note the staff went above... More

The rooms themselves were great, clean, new. Staff were friendly but lacking in knowledge (we needed to be told about chains for the car but they didn't until the following day, when it was too late). Views were stunning! Rooms were super pricey @$300/night

It took me a while to find this, which is surprising since it's really one's only option if you actually want to stay in Milford Sound. When I first booked, there were no twin rooms available, so we reserved 4 bunk beds in a dorm room to have some privacy. The lodge was kind enough to write to let us... More

Stayed here for one evening and was quite lovely. Arrived early so left bags in storage and took a walk. Came back with a hour or two spare so enjoyed the comfortable lodge living room. The cafe staff there are lovely, wanted an iced drink but didnt advertise it but the guy was very happy to make me it regardless... More

After the 4 days tramping Milford track, the rain & wind meant the road to Te Anu was closed. Thank goodness for the Milford lodge... They had 38 tired , drenched, cold, hungry trampers to deal with & they were courteous & friendly. The cafe had excellent snack food & breakfast. Can't thank you enough for accommodating our group who... More

Milford Sound itself is a must see, no trip to NZ isn't complete without a trip to this place. It is beautiful and peaceful, and the views are just stunning. The lodge however, doesn't match up to the place. Staff are rude, the lodge is ridiculously overpriced, and you have to go outside in the cold to stumble around in... More

Clean and well looked after, this holiday park is set in amazing surrounds just a stones throw from the Sound. Nestled in the mountains after an amazing drive through the tunnel, we found the amenities clean and well provisioned. A really comfy common room and large kitchen area was a great feature. Keep in mind there is no wifi other... More

I stayed in the Mountain view chalets for one night and only wish I was staying for a couple of days more. The chalets are beautiful with a lovely view of the outdoors and the interiors are fresh and modern too. The staff are friendly and helpful while the cruise is just a short drive away.

very nice place to stay for a night or for a few days, you can park your campervan or sleep in the dorms. is not too far to the harbour for a cruise, but this things have a price a little bit expensive. The people at the reception are very nice and they can advise you for doing some things... More

We stayed in one of the chalets for one night. The decor is done really well, feeling quite natural to fit with the beautiful surroundings. the small kitchenette has everything you need. and the bathroom is lovely. The view out from the terrace is stunning, although be aware that the room is subject to people wondering past the window (although... More
