Stayed in one of the 4 bed dorms be aware that you have to walk outside in the open air (albeit under cover) to reach the all important facilities in the middle of the night and it can be a bit cold or you know, sideways raining. Kitchen was good, dining a bit small and everything was clean the staff... More

I stayed here for one night with a friend in a twin room, before taking the Milford Sound cruize. The staff welcomed us and were very friendly. our room was nice, with two comfortable beds and a decent heater (it was very cold that day). The lounge room has plenty of couches to relax and read, the communal kitchen was... More

We stayed for one night in a river view cabin, which is the top accommodation at the lodge. It was large and clean with a nice river view. The other accommodation at the lodge was basically dormitory style or camp sites. There is no restaurant here but there is a self use kitchen and they provide breakfast at extra cost.... More

Milford sound is breathtaking and I cannot recommend visiting highly enough. We are a family of three and decided to stop the night and take a morning cruise (which is a must!!!). We opted for the dorm room and paid the extra money for the spare bed to ensure we could have a room to ourselves as we are travelling... More

Firstly I was surprised at the fact that so little is spoken or known about this great lodge in the Milford wilderness! To any traveller, be it top end or backpacker, this place has something for you. From dorm rooms, to em suited rooms, you won't be disappointed! They also offer fabulous breakfasts if you don't feel like preparing your... More

The scenery alone is worth the price to stay here, not that it's that expensive for a powered campervan site which is what we did. We did a package that included the powered site, breakfast (which was good) and a morning cruise around Milford Sound, good value I thought. The facilities are clean and well maintained and the staff very... More

Milford Sound Lodge was just the most perfect 2 nights stay. We stayed in a Lake View Cabin, the view was to die for and the modern design was just luxury. Check-In was easy and the staff were so lovely. We borrowed movies from front desk with ease and just enjoyed the scenery. On Day 2 we took the beautIful... More

We took a double room in the lodge ahead of a cruise on Milford Sound the following day. The room was basic, but better than expected. Perfect for outdoor types. With a wall heater, it was cosy and quiet. The communal lounge was a lovely place to relax and enjoy a drink, well appointed and designed. We took advantage of... More

We stayed 2 nights in a Chalet at Milford Sound Lodge. The rain was pouring down when we arrived so all the waterfalls were in action. We entered the chalet and the floor to ceiling window revealed the wonder of Milford Sound. The river was raging and right there at our door step, the place was cosy, lots of little... More
