We had a great stay at the Motel, great reception and great rooms. We were spoilt with the size of the rooms and the layout of the unit. Recommend this motel to anyone. Easy to find and good parking, close to town and the University. Also free washing machines

We booked this motel several months in advance in order to be near family for Christmas. We wanted something with some lawn/garden, not just a tar sealed car park. We were not disappointed as there was also a little playground (perfect for our grand daughter), a BBQ (which worked very well) and outdoor furniture which we enjoyed using as the... More

A pleasant hotel / motel located close to the city centre but far away to be nice and quiet ... Warm, cosy, wonderfully priced ... Our room had a new bathroom and make sure you don't have anyone above your level so that you don't have to hear their foot steps

We have stayed in this place over several nights, there is a list of problems: 1) TV has bunny ears for tuning? no sky 2) TV remote jams and you cant change channel 3) Bathroom is old and disgusting, no better than a old crib or batch, with rotting cabinets and pitted lino flooring 4) electric power points spark 5)... We had just left a very expensive and disappointing apartment in Queenstown and booked this last minute as in 2 day before. $145 for a night, arrived the staff very friendly and yes the units are dated and some disrepair but lets face it its cheap we loved it, it is quirky and must have been something in its day,... The garden ambiance surrounding the motel is great. Stayed 2 nights. First night was in a 1-bedroom apartment which is value for money. The toilet is relatively new and very clean; as such we extended for another night. However, 1-bedroom apartments were fully booked so we moved to a 2-bedroom apartment. Second apartment toilet is really old. Apartments are really... More

Dark old shabby. Bathroom updated Probly only through necessity. The Rest Is nothing But Tragic! Beds comfortable and clean. Only saving grace. I can't think of any more words to say to fill in 200 so I'm now just typing for the sake of it because it is so bad that I'm speechless

Despite being roomy, the room was very dated and old with holes everywhere especially in bathroom. Didn't want to get in shower worrying I would fall through. Smelt musty and old. Couches dirty. At least bed clean but old smelling

I'd booked via the i-Site at Invercargill without checking out TripAdvisor in advance and was very pleased with the result. Woodlands is extremely easy to find as it is on the main South-North road (one way) through Dunedin. The accomodation had nice twin aspect windows in the lounge and a good kitchen area. I was arriving late by arrangement and... More

The room we had was very spacious - tired but clean and perfectly OK and not expensive. Leaking downpipe on roof meant lack of sleep. Talked to manager next morning who said they would sort it. They didn't - and another long drippy night. Checked it out the next morning and large rust spot suggests this has been a problem... More
