We found the hotel easily. Good location. We managed to park round e back. It was $1 for a hour but as we arrived at 5:15pm it carried us through to 9:15 am which was great. When we asked about the best place to park the reception staff were unhelpful and never mentioned this telling us they could tell us... More

Dear Karen, Thank you for your feedback and opting to stay with us, it was indeed a pleasure. Our building was originally built in 1862 thus making it one of the heritage building in the city. You might have noticed this, with its majestic high ceiling and architecture. The interior needs a bit of refurbishment and we are looking at... More

The shower handle broke, and the toilet spill. The tub wasn't very clean. Bunch of drunk men drinking in the pool area and loud noise. When I arrived at the hotel the receptionist make me wait more than 30 minutes. They did not fix the problem on time.

Stayed here twice in May and will definitely stay again. Fabulously restored historic building in a central location, quick walk to the Octagon and waterfront. Our room was warm and we easily found street parking(free on weekends). Loved the old manual elevator and the historic vibe that is so much a part of the Dunedin experience. Friendly and helpful staff... More

Thank you for your review of Park Regis Dunedin. It is so gratifying to hear from guests who love the city and its unique feel and I was thrilled to read that staying with us at the Park Regis- locally well known as the old DB Wains Hotel- appears even to have enhanced your experiences of Dunedin thus far! Thank you for your review of Park Regis Dunedin. As I explained on what would have been the second day of your stay, we do have some floors that do not have direct lift access, however we have plenty of rooms in every category that do. Moreover the rooms that are only accessible by a small flight of stairs have... More

Bathrooms need updated. Door lock was faulty. Nice decor. Good coffee. Friendly helpful staff. Good location. Didn't try restaurant. Parking was difficult. Love the old elevator. Comments on this should be of any length. It's annoying to keep getting the review rejected cos it's not long enough!

I like to stay here because of the price - $99 seems to be standard. Some rooms are OK, some are musty - although I've had worse. Yes, there is a freestanding heater, but it is quiet and seems to do the job quite well. That said, I would recommend you turn it on as soon as you get into... More

Thank you for your review of Park Regis Dunedin, your comments are much appreciated and it’s great that you consider us value for money and would return. Your feedback regarding breakfast is very fair, as a small hotel it is certainly challenging to provide a full cooked buffet with a large range of options, especially during the quiet winter months.... I enjoyed my 2 nights at the hotel, great room and comfy beds. Helpful and great staff with great room service and a nice restaurant . Thank you for your kind review of Park Regis Dunedin, I am so glad that your stay with us met all your requirements. The toasted sandwich was our pleasure!
