This sympathetically renovated establishment is a credit to the owners. Providing a feeling of past times this B and B was a delight to stay in with wonderful self serve continental breakfast. Our room was sunny, had views and a huge bathroom. Perfectly located a 5 min walk from city centre it was the ideal place to stay when visiting... More

Stayed here on a very cold night in July. Very cold by Sydney's standards but pretty much par for course weather for Dunedin this time of year. My room, 'Victorian' was written on the keys, was in the annex next door. Huge room with very high 14' ceilings. There was an air conditioning unit but it simply couldn't get the... More

We stayed here for just one night at a very good price. This is a lovely big Victorian House with a beautiful staircase leading up to our room. We were greeted by a lovely young woman and her wee daughter and shown to our room; the Africa Room ( zebra wallpaper and African accessories),not luxurious but comfortable and clean. The... More

Very interesting and charming old building. Town centre is walkable. Staff are helpful and the breakfasts are good with a nice variety. My bathroom was shared but only with one other room. Great value accommodation.

This was my favorite lodging of my twelve days in New Zealand. It was not the shiniest or the most immaculate, but it was comfortable, charming, and well-situated. It felt the most like home. The host and other guests were amiable and interesting, the breakfast selection was good, the common area was attractive and comfortable, and the cats were a... More

My husband and I were part of the Slow Spokes group that stayed at The Hulmes Court Bed & Breakfast recently after completing The Otago Rail Trail. After spending five nights on the trail in excellent accommodation it was a disappointment to discover that our tired looking room at Hulmes Court had a very small ensuite, threadbare sheets and towels... This is a very old house with lots of character. It also has two resident cats and, being cat lovers, this was a plus for us. All the rooms are different. We had a large room on the ground floor with its own bath and it was spacious and attractive. Our room was next to the kitchen and there was... More

We were over half way through our NZ trip staying in B&B's all the way when we stayed here. It did not compare to all the others where we had stayed yet was of a similar rating. The building was in need of redecoration and the room was very tired and dark and the ensuite dingy at best. The breakfast... More
