Experienced, well informed, helpful and cheerful staff. Clean rooms, comfortable beds. Bar service excellent and well priced. Restaurant pleasant with well priced, well flavoured food and super service. Weird WiFi policy makes this hotel only worth an average. Would consider staying here again but would have to advise caution if a friend expressed interest

Staff are always lovely and friendly and my girls love staying here so it's a bonus. Rooms are always immaculate and beds super comfy. Great location close to town and easy access in the one ways. We always choose to stay here when we are in Dunedin visiting family/friends and will continue to do so. Breakfast is always good and... More

If you are traveling the South Island's East Coast heading South, the Mercure Dunedin Leisure Lodge is the first (and one of the only) decent hotel you will run into as you enter town. The location is next to the Botanical Gardens (easy to walk into), and just a short walk from the town center. There is also a decent... More

Good position hotel I stayed one night during a tour of New Zealand. The room was really clean, warm, breakfast was really good and plentiful. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet so I slept really well. There was one hour free wifi bug I then paid for extra and the coverage was awful, hard to log in,... More

While in many ways a fine hotel I would not choose to stay there again due to its wifi policy. Even a mild wifi user may be better off staying elsewhere. I found the 200mb free allowance insufficient to allow auto uploading of a few photos from my smartphone to dropbox and auto update a few apps. The free wifi... More

Very comfy bed. Beautiful garden. Great TV. Our room faced road and was quite noisy. Our choice was no fresh air and a little less noise or noise with fresh air. We could also hear the neighbouring room, however we were lucky that they were quiet. We were awoken by traffic and students chatting on the road and footpath outside... More
