Attended our grandsons graduation in dunedin on 09/05/2015 with our daughter and husband. We had had a very long day leaving timaru at 7am, After the parade and capping we finally managed to get to our hotel at 6pm very very tired. On arrival our rooms were upgraded to a corporate suite with an adjoining room. We only had an... More

Our room on the ground floor was fine and allowed us to sit outside looking into the pleasant gardens. Coach parties use this hotel frequently and get priority. The bar service was very slow and not enough seating for the number of guests frequenting the hotel. The food was buffet style but was often undercooked to what we would expect... More

My husband and I stayed for four nights and found our room comfortable enough. Not amazing, but has everything you need including a small fridge, hairdryer, ironing board, and limited (1 hour) free wifi access (would have been nice to have longer access). The room was a bit cramped, with the bed pushed close up to the wall. The shower... More

There are much nicer places to stay in Dunedin where you can experience southern hospitality. This is not one of them. Out of interactions with 3 staff members, not even one was friendly or helpful. Booked and paid to stay 16th April and arrived at 7 pm after cycling rail trail and taking train through Tairei Gorge. On arrival at... More

We enjoyed our stay at Mercure Dunedin Leisure Lodge, it is very easy to get to any place from there. We found all the staff very friendly and helpful, a great place to stay and with great surrounds and excellent parking. Mercure Dunedin Leisure Lodge is a place that we would definitely recommend.

This Mecure is OK though for various reasons not one of the better ones. Building looks well maintained and has car parking in front of reception. Reception polite though not friendly. Though prepaid I had to provide my credit card which is normal however I was humoured that the reason given was "in case we broke something". Room was on... More

Small, clean and neat room. Friendly and helpful staff. Washing and drying machine available up stairs need to paid $4. We had our dinner on the first night which was ok, the price and serving was reasonable. We enjoy the morning walk across the road to the botanical gardens which was amazingly huge.
