My grandson and I stayed on Wednesday 16 July. The room was dated but serviceable but it was freezing cold. The room heater was so noisy you couldn't watch Tv or sleep with it on. The other flame effect heater did not warm the roon and the bedroom had no heating. We had to sleep with electric blankets on and... More

Very nice facility, run by a very friendly family, and located very close to a great variety of food and beverage outlets. We would have loved to stay longer. A nice simple journey to the airport and reasonably close to the stadium.

My wife and I stayed a total of 5 nights on two separate visits over two weeks. The unit was close to the city and on a main road but still very quiet. We found the unit a little small for our extended stays and the heating struggled to keep up when the temperatures dropped below 0 during our second visit.... More

This is a handy place for traveling to/from the train station and a taxi ride can be included in your room fee. We had a 2 bedroom with kitchen and large bathroom. Even though it is on a major street, our suite, the first behind the managers, was very quite. Beds were firm and we had a great night's rest.... More

We stayed here for 2 nights during February when travelling on Kiwi Scenic Rail and really appreciated the free pickup by Andy from Christchurch Station (even although the train was very late both times) on 2 separate occasions and the free shuttle to the station in the morning. The owners couldn't have been more helpful and pleasant and made our... More

This motel was not your standard modern motel with square rooms and modern furniture. This was a motel with character and slightly older, but very clean and comfortable. We had great fun pulling out different shelves in the kitchen to find a fold away ironing board, or a chopping board. The kitchen was large and fully equipped; separate toilet and... More

Had a great 2 night stay here. The room was large enough for 4 adults to occupy quite comfortably. It was well equipped with all the facilities you could possibly need. The kitchen was of a decent size and had an additional larger basin which is ideal for doing some washing if so desired. The beds were comfortable and plenty... More

Clean, well presented for an older establishment, handy to train and eateries, owners sorted out free pickup and drop off to station. Comfortable and reasonably priced. Very friendly and obliging. Recommend highly for budget conscious travellers.
