I really don't know where to start! I'd read such good reviews about this place but it still exceeded expectations. After a truly whistle stop and fairly exhausting 9 day tour of the South Island I had booked pomeroy's for a 2 night treat before heading out of NZ and I'm so glad I did. After i booked it I... The staff here are really friendly and interacted with us in a genuinely friendly and attentive way. We sampled a range of the handpulled beers and then ate in the restaurant. All the meals were delicious and my lamb pie was enough to make a grown man weep. Excellent value for money and I only wish that our local in... More

Our room was very spacious, even with 2 beds, clean, bright and cheery. The beds were very comfortable, and the room was very quiet and peaceful. The B&B is next door the great little pub they own, where they offer you a free beer. The food there is excellent and they have a great selection of craft beers. Breakfast is... More

A clean room and bathroom. The place felt a bit confined. No lounge room. Breakfast was help yourself to toast and cereals. We were both disappointed after reading the Trip Advisor reviews. After twenty days of travelling in New Zealand this was just okay. Stayed in better and not as expensive.

Comfortable small bed and breakfast next to pub. Quite basic rooms but comfortable. Breakfast is simple and self-service. More like a pub with rooms but that said it is very quiet and the pub is great with a very good restaurant.

Booked this last minute to see the cricket in Christchurch. Kind of like a help yourself bed and breakfast. Alot better than a motel. Its a bit more homely and like going into your house after being out at night. Key was in a locked box. Breakfast was very good. Bed was very comfortable. Room could of had a chair... More

Room was lovely and clean with doors opening out onto the garden and afternoon sun. Was also very nice sitting out there in the mornings with a cup of tea planning how the days would unravel Linen and towels a lovely crisp white, well appointed bathroom with toiletries, shower spacious. Georgia was so very obliging when we asked to change... More

This has to be one of the best places to stay in Christchurch. For a city that's on its knees trying to recover, Pomeroys on Kilmore refuses to be beaten down! We had an excellent nights sleep in the garden room. Properly prepared for our 24hr journey ahead of us, and I have to commend them on having a great... More

We stayed here over Labour weekend and were really impressed. We arrived late and the pub was humming but they happily showed us to our room without hassle. We asked about dinner and staff said sure they'd book us in, whenever we were ready we could come over. It was a busy Thursday night so we appreciated that. Then they... More

We stayed in the Kilmore room, which is described as their "coziest", but which I now understand means "smallest." The size of the room itself is manageable, but the bathroom is one of the smallest I've ever seen. The sink is so small, it's possible to wash your face without soaking the entire floor -- and yourself. The one benefit... More

Thank you very much for taking the time to write this review. Yes, the Kilmore room is certainly the smallest (and in our opinion the coziest) of our rooms, we feel this is reflected in the price. We are currently upgrading our website with more detailed pictures, hopefully this will help with any confusion on the room sizes in the... More
