This was a perfect little b&b for us. Better suited to couples. Breakfast was simple but delicious, staff were friendly.the rooms were comfortable and surprisingly we'll furnished. This is great for 1-2 nights

When I was looking for a place to stay in Christchurch when on our honeymoon to NZ, a B&B came to mind. I couldn't have found a better B&B than this one. When I asked my husband his opinion about booking our room, his response was classic "You are booking a room next to a pub?Sign me up!" and so... More

This is a really nice place to stay. The room was comfortable although the bathroom a bit small. Being next to the pub is great as it makes dinner easy with no driving. The food was great. The atmosphere is pub loud so don't expect to be able to easily carry on a conversation. The live music was a plus.... More

We only had one night here but it was really memorable. We checked in at the pub and were shown to the lovely Garden Room in the house next door. Back in the pub we had some lunch, then the helpful chap who'd served us gave us a map of Christchurch and some ideas about where to walk downtown. That... More

My husband and I had the Garden Room and my sister stayed in the Avon. The rooms had old world charm with updated bathrooms-ours had a heated floor! Breakfast was available each morning in the dining room for us to prepare ourselves, so there was no worries about getting up to meet someone else's schedule. The room included a drink... More

Comfy beds, clean and cosy rooms. Nice breakfast selection. Pub next door is great for dinner and beers. We've stayed 3 times now and will keep coming back as our base in Christchurch. The only thing lacking is the personal touch of someone running the B & B.

I tried to book into here last year when visiting Christchurch but it was fully booked, so booked early for this years trip. We had 2 rooms for 3 nights initially and then a last night before we flew home. What an awesome bed & breakfast this is. The B&B is beautifully renovated and thankfully survived the earthquake. The only... More

We had high expectations of this place but were thoroughly disappointed after our two-night stay. The neighbouring pub is good, yes (although very expensive), but this is rating the accommodation only. Over two nights, apart from when we went into the pub to find someone to check us in, we did not see one single member of staff. It would... More

This was a great b&b with only a handful of rooms. The location is great - the pub next door is lively and serves great food and it's an easy 15-20 minute walk into the city center. We stayed in the Canterbury room - very spacious with a nice patio leading out to a pretty garden area.
