A strange residence in downtown C.C. The huge ceilings of a warehouse with lots of cool colorful paintings all over. Single was small but not too small. Two blocks from the cathedral, it is super close to downtown stuff, very clean and safe with several layers of key entries after dark. Heads up on several things though: the price is nice,... more

Four of us stayed for 4 nights, we were supposed to stay 6 but checked out. This place is far too noisy. We were given ear plugsffor our last night, but this didn't help. Would never stay again. Also if you had a vehicle the Car Park issues were a nuisance. more

We stayed at LivingSpace for our first night out of our 2 weeks in NZ. Some tips for those planning to stay there. Stairs: There's a flight of stairs up to the reception. So, do take note if you have heavy luggage. We took a 2 bedroom apartment and it was 2 storey as well. So it meant that we... more

Kitchen suite/small bathroom. No air con so would be uncomfortable during summer heat. Well placed for sightseeing. Would only suit 2 "close" partners as bed is against wall - not suitable for larger couples!!! In need of a dust when we arrived, but good value for suite accommodation more

This is a warehouse conversion. The rooms vary in size enormously -the $89.00 twins are like cabins on a ship very small but with everything you need. The big downside is the noise - the laneway alongside the hotel is a strip of live music venues. We booked in for 3 nights on Thursday but after 2 nights where it... more

Small and compact, it has everything that you need for a short stay. Bear in mind that the rooms are noisy. Mine was on Litchfield Street and got all the Fri and Sat night noise. Guessing the windows are not double-glazed. Need to do a bit of fixing in the rooms, lightbulbs out and the handle on the shower door... more

We arrived after 10pm but the young man who booked us in was very pleasant. The rooms are very compact but do have everything you need including a kitchenette with a good supply of coffee, hot chocolate and tea bags. Its all very new and modern and in quite a good location. Good value for money - if you don't... more

We stayed in a two bedroom unit on the fourth floor, which was very spacious and clean, however the noise from the bars in the alley below started at about 9:00PM and lasted until 4:00AM. In fact, when we checked in we were given a handful of earplugs! The complex was in a great location and was reasonably priced. but... more

We always stay at Living Space in Christchurch when we visit the city - it's great - and we wouldn't sta any where else. It's fantastic for independent travellers as on each floor there is a seperate TV Lounge and Kitchen as well as Laundry facilities. The rooms are small, but they are really modern and well appointed, with everyting... more
