For NZ$99/night, you can't go wrong with this place. The hotel is only a couple of years old so is in like new condition. The room was average size by North American standards. Very friendly staff that let us have our room immediately even though we arrived at 8am! Great position for walking to everywhere interesting. Free shuttle tram and buses very near. I stayed at the Ibis Hotel Christchurch recently while travelling on business and was surprised and pleased at the high quality of the hotel which made the $100 NZ I paid seem incredible value for money. My room had a king size bed and was quite spacious. The decor was modern and tasteful and the whole hotel seemed quite new.... more
Stayed here because of good reviews on tripadvisor.com and wasn't disappointed. New hotel with clean and fresh amenities. Very friendly and helpful staff. Guy looking after the restaurant at breakfast was a real star. Got a great rate through loyalty programme so great value as well. more
