Clean, spacious, very friendly competent reception staff, we found it was perfect for some quiet time after some serious late nights in Sydney! Without a doubt THE nicest double bed we had slept in on our travels. Nice air of relaxation. Go for it, you wont regret it :) more

I stayed in YHA Christchurch a few times during my 2 week tour of South Island. Rooms are clean and the bathroom and kitchen are spacious. The rooms were small and not particularly cozy, but nothing less than you expect for a cheap price at a hostel. The kitchen was big, well-equipped and clean. The showers and toilets were also okay. Overall nice place in good location. Check-ins are their first priority. Remember the NZ accent: E's are pronounced like I's and I's are pronounced like U's!
