Location was perfect for me as I fancy the Botanic Garden and Hagley Park which is only a few steps away and for the time being it is pretty difficult to find nice places in central Christchurch and this is one of them. My travel agency had booked for me a single room which unfortunately turned out to be really... More

We only stayed one night, but the accommodations were perfect. In fact, we were upgraded to a larger room. The staff and host were very helpful. Christchurch has gone through quite a bit since the 2011 earthquake and we were very pleased with the location of the B&B. It is walking distance to the botanical gardens and also just down... More

Welcoming hosts, even though we arrived far too early! A great base from which to explore Christchurch, very close to parks, shopping and food. Lovely, full featured breakfast. Amazingly fluffy and comfortable beds.

We stayed for two nights at the Classic Villa. We really enjoyed our stay. We were in the older part of the villa which was very comfortable. The breakfast is continental style around a large shared table. There are no tea or coffee facilities in the rooms but you do get a full run of the well stocked kitchen. Complimentary... More

There are many very positive things about this small hotel. The woman who manages it is superb. She is lovely, very hospitable and extremely helpful. The location is as good as you can get in all of Christchurch. The bedroom was very small as was the bathroom. The prices are not inexpensive and I would have hoped for a larger... More

We stayed at the Classic Villa for three nights. The villa is charming and offers a continental breakfast in the morning. Rooms are spacious and include all the amenities. Peter is a welcoming host. We loved the location as it was an easy walk to the Botanical Garden, the museum and to restaurants.

We had a very disappointing first nights stay at The Classic Villa. We were in room 11, which is upstairs in the new section. On appearance, it was an average room; a steep stairway, a dull, plain hallway and a mediocre room. Something you would find in a cheap hotel, not a "Classic Villa". It was a hot summer day... More

The Classic Villa location is perfect being only a short walk to the CBD and even closer to the gardens and the River Avon. The rooms are very impressive and the breakfast is a perfect start to the day

This B & B is the perfect spot to explore Christchurch. Rooms are pretty ordinary but very comfortable. Avril, the manager is extremely helpful and friendly. The continental breakfast offers a lot of choices. Plenty of public spaces to use too.
