Last night after a long day at work with a hangover my partner and i were looking for somewhere to go for dinner that was low key as neither of us were dressed for it. A local recommended it and it was great. $80 for the two of us for two entrees 2 mains and 2 drinks. The food was... More

Booked this last room available in christchurch. Was going to sleep in car- should have Would have understood if it was 20 a night but with kids and no other choice bit the bullet. The place has potential but needs major improvements. Shower handle falling off, dirty carpet.

The room was not cleaned. Still dirt on the floor, dirty towels with hairs on it. The room itself looks a bit shabby, damaged walls, damaged carpet, untidy bathroom. The receptionist was looking at us like we came from another world. She talked to us in a way which I would say was just degoratory. After spending so much money I would... More

It's been 5 months since our last visit. Everyone thrilled to see us. Enjoyed our meals and fabulously breakfast cooked by Carolynn. Caught up with all the staff and some of the regular clients. Good to be back in familiar comfortable souroundings. Top receptionist Thereasa and new receptionist Trish, as professional as ever. Housemaids doing a great job. And as... More

I stayed here overnight with my partner on a flying trip to Hornby. The room we had was large and spacious, with a very comfortable bed and good shower. There was no microwave or toaster in the room which I found a bit unusual and inconvenient, but down the hall and downstairs (ground floor) there is kitchen facilities. The room... More

The best thing about this hotel - the friendly staff. They were helpful and friendly - and the only reason I'm not rating this hotel as 1. The rest - messy, dated and in desperate need of a do up. I would recommend for truckers - but not for people on holiday in Christchurch. I'm sure for the price we... More

Stayed at Equestrian. Service was great and food was big. Rooms are a bit aged but clean. Close to shopping outlet stores. Handy location.

We stayed here for just one night due to an early flight home. The outside of the hotel was a filthy mess with rubbish, mud and trucks lined up. The reception area was not too bad and the receptionists were lovely! The rooms were large but grubby looking, peeled wallpaper, old heaters, mouldy and broken tiles in the bathroom and... More
