Nice and clean, as a couple we found the zip together bed a bit uncomfortable. Did ask about sorting the bed as we were there 2 nights. Lady at reception looked into it thinking the zip might just not have been done up. It was... Traffic noise rather loud too due to lack of double glazing. Friendly enough staff though.

Stayed for 2 nights in a 3-bedroom apartment unit on 2 floors c/w kitchenette & washing machine. Hall and master bedroom were large. The unit can easily accommodate >10 guests if allowed (but restricted to only 6). Practically everything was in tip top working condition. Located right in the centre of the city, within the Cathedral Junction complex with a... More

friendly and efficient check in. stayed in a different building to where reception is. walls are thin so that when our neighbour closed his door, the walls shook. but other than that did not hear any noise from other guests. windows are not double glazed, so traffic noise could be a problem if you're a light sleeper. room was clean... We spent 1 night here when returning from a business trip. The newly refurbished Quest at Cathedral Junction (open, not closed) is very comfortable, smart and modern and would have to be the best Quest in NZ.

Just opposite the cathedral. Almost no other buildings around, we struggled to find a restaurant and bar, had to go for about a 15 minute walk. It had been in a busy part of town before the earthquake, but now its one of the few buildings still standing.

Stayed here for 3 nights, real close to the cathedral & all central Christchurch. Container shops were fabulous. Had a studio apartment- pillows were too hard, requested softer ones & they were on our bed the next night (nice one girls). The apartment had everything that we required & was serviced daily. Only gripe was that the tap in the... More

Stayed here for 2 nights each side of a tour of the South Island. Bess the manager was very helpful and let us leave some of our stuff with her so that we did not have to drag it around on our tour. Our room was clean and all facilities were new and the beds were very comfy. On our... More

We stayed just for one night in a one bedroom apartment which was perfect for the two of us. Great location walking distance to anywhere in the city area if you want to visit the shops or bars. Is also right next to the tram. Staff were very friendly and happy to help. There is car parking underneath for extra... More

Christchurch is "rising from the ashes" and again is becoming a gorgeous city. In the middle of the city is Quest with the best service and great facilities let alone position. Tram at the door and good parking. Wished we could have stayed longer. We had two interconnecting apartments. THROUGH PEOPLE /TOURISTS GOING THERE WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

My husband and I stayed here on 9-10/8/14 for leisure. The room size was decent, everything was neat and tidy, the staff was nice, but it was nothing special. It was surprisingly difficult to find because of all the traffic diversions post earthquake. The bed was saggy, and the chairs in the room were falling apart. We thought the parking... More
