A beautiful place to stay in - tastefully decorated rooms in and "old" house (by NZ standards). The staff is very friendly, the breakfast is excellent (cereals, fresh toast with spreads and eggs & bacon prepared as you like them), they even throw in a complimentary glass of wine in the afternoon! The gardens are beautiful too. The location is... more

A fabulous place to stay. An old (by Kiwi terms) Colonial villa, with a beautiful garden. The rooms are large, comfortable and scrupulously clean. The breakfasts are great, as is the complimentary glass of wine in the evening. Very central, close to the Botanical Gardens, and within easy walking distance of the Arts Centre, internet cafes, restaurants, bars and nightlife.... more

We had a lovely stay at Orari House - it has a nice 'feel' for an old house. Our host was welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was great. The house is nicely situated close to restaurants, art gallery, botanic gardens etc. We wish we'd stayed longer. more

Orari was a great find - most comfortable, clean and very convenient. Jan is a most helpful and friendly host, providing a complimentary afternoon wine tipple as well - and a great cook to boot, ensuring breakfast is an enjoyable start to the day. We had Room 6 which was roomy and easily met our needs. The location is great,... more

Location, staff and accommodations are superb. The Breakfast was the highlight of my day. Jan and Ashton took us under their wing and made us feel right at home. Christchurch is great, this B & B made it even better. Internet was seamless and worked fine. more

Great Location for this B&B right near the center of Christchurch. The kindness of the owner was great as we arrived very early in the morning and she gave us the room immediately so we had been able to rest after our long trip from Singapur. more

The Orari B&B was a great "blind" choice (I did do some research but not tons). The location was excellent, right off the city centre but a very short 5 min walk and conveniently located to bus route 29 to/from the airport (at NZ$7 - a bargain compared to other means of transport!). Besides its great location, the staff gladly... more

Me and my husband we stayed at this lovely B & B in Christchurch. Jan the Manager is a very friendly hospitable person. She has the right information and she will do anything to make your stay as pleasurable as possible. The house is absolutely beautiful if you like older 1900 high ceiling federation houses. The rooms are relatively spacious... more

We stayed at The Orari for our first night in NZ after a long flight from the UK. It was just what we needed. Large, clean spacious room with lots of privacy. The hosts were really helpful and friendly and it is a beautiful looking B&B which you would definitely describe as 'boutique'. The breakfast was really delicious. Our only... more

Orari is in a good location but there is some street noise. Being able to walk to the city center is a plus. The room was large, clean and comfortable. Some interior touch up paint is needed but in the rooms all was fine. This is a popular place so you may need to book early. more
