This is a lovely house with comfortable rooms and a lovely breakfast served in an elegant dining room. We enjoyed the location which allowed us to walk to the Botanic Garden and to the town center for shopping. Many restaurants are also within walking distance. The hosts are gracious and helpful--they offered us their own map with a highlighted route... More

We stayed here overnight on the way to Greymouth. Friendly hostess showed us around the beautiful house, with a clean room but a bit noisy. The Sound of Music was being played on an endless loop in an open-air cinema about half a mile away. Carried on the wind straight into our room. It was bizarre - a bit like... More

We booked Orari after reading the review in Delicious magazine. We weren't disappointed. It is a lovely BnB and our host was very helpful and friendly. Our room (#1) was comfortable and clean and happy hour in the lounge very enjoyable. The BnB is only a short walk from the centre of town and we were able to park off... More

We stayed 2 nights in a large room with two large very comfortable beds. Although the room was facing the road, at night it was fairly quiet. Friendly hosts serve a good breakfast and a complimentary glass of wine in the evening. Most attractions are within easy walking distance of this lovely old English style house. The Orari staff help... More

I stayed here two nights in upstairs room #7. I was greeted warmly by Jan and she efficiently got me settled. The room was as advertised on the website. It faces the back and has very little road noise. The bedding is VERY comfortable. The two side chairs are made of wicker and are not comfortable (they need pads). Kettle... More

You can't beat the location (which was the main reason I booked this B&B) but unfortunately neither my husband or I got any rest - the bed (or futon-like mattress) was that uncomfortable! The breakfast was average (nothing noteworthy) but glad they served it because not many of the cafés in the neighborhood seemed to open until after 9 or... More

Lovely B&B near the Botanic Gardens. Hosts are very friendly and accomodating. Also helpful with recommendations. Transport is arranged to the train station for Tranzalpine. Orari is a good base for this line. House is full of character and owner has good taste. Great breakfast.

Charming Heritage B&B only 5 minutes from the Centre of Auckland. For the second time running we were unable to enjoy the full hospitality because the Interisland Ferry time had been changed. However the staff are very pleasant and obliging. The rooms are very comfortable . They have a Dumb Waiter style lift for Suitcases (Only to be used at... More

Just stayed here for 2 x nights to start our NZ adventure. After a long flight from the UK it was a lovely place to stay and relax for couple of nights. Room very pleasant, comfortable and clean. Hosts helpful and courteous offering local advice on places to go and restaurants to eat in. Also arrange our taxi for picking... More

My husband n I were stayed at this B&B. It was so cosy and quite. The room was big with nice cosy sitting faced big window. The living area so cosy, we spend our time listen music n reading book after back from dinner. Breakfast was served. The bacon is so delicious and butter. Highly recommend to friends!
