We stayed at the Orari B&B for three nights and enjoyed it very much. The location is good, quiet yet convenient to attractions. Room 6 was roomy and very comfortable, and the public areas are lovely. The staff were very helpful with restaurant bookings and laundry. The 5:30 glass of wine was a plus as well. Would definitely stay there... More

Christchurch is in the middle of rebuilding from its 2011 earthquake but this mostly appies to their multi-story office buildings. Most of the other buildings did not seem to get damaged. We checked in on a weekend and met Julie, their weekend receptionist. She was very helpful. The place is about 4 blocks from a local sports bar where we... More

Luxurious yet homely. Comfortable beds, clean new room and bathroom. Kept nice and warm in winter. Delicious breakfast, family friendly and helpful staff. Very central location. Close enough for little legs to walk to the museum, botanical gardens and restaurants a plenty. Could have stayed longer. Very comfortable and clean.

A lovely place run by the owner. We reached after the earthquake and there were signs of damage outside the boundary but nothing else. The kind heartedness of the owner made our stay overnight great. Very neat and clean and maintained. The breakfast spread was nice heater too was provided. Recommended to stay anytime

Our shuttle had problems finding the address as the number was obscured but we made it, and it was such an enjoyable stay. Were invited for a wine, but as being a non alcoholic drinker, a juice would have been nice and perhaps a cracker. Very quiet and the lounge was enormous, all had our own couches and well heated

Great B&B located close to cafes, restaurants and the botanical gardens. We stayed in Room 9 and it was spacious and luxurious. Breakfast was included, and there was free off-street parking. We would stay there again, and will recommend to anyone travelling to Christchurch.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this B and B. Heart of the city. Spacious living area to hang out in. Nice touch with the wine in the evening provided by the innkeepers. Very full breakfast, both cooked and continental options. Our bathroom was not in our room but that did not bother us - robes provided for the jaunt across... More

After traveling on four planes and for 36 hours from Florida, Orari B&B was the perfect place for us. Julie checked us in early because the room was ready (due to a no show the night before). This was so very much appreciated. Wine at 5:30, wonderful breakfast, dinner recommendations and bookings, shuttle reservations....all taken care of immediately and without... More

The room was nice and cosy. Our group has 3 adults one 5 yrs old child and one 2 yrs old child and was booked in room 9 but the owner would not let us stay in the same room so we had to pay for another room with no discount. :( Other hotels if we book this type of... More

The downtown location puts it in walking distance of the botanical garden, the museum, restaurants and shops. It has a lovely garden with a seating area and the roses frame the house with lots of color. The rooms are well decorated, comfortable and clean with a luxurious bed (at least in room 6 and room 9). Parking is available for... More
