I took my partner her for her birthday, just to give her a nice evening away. She was a bit reserved at first and chastised me for 'wasting money'. She quickly changed her mind. When you first drive up, you can't help but to smile at such a gem tucked in the middle of Christchurch. Once you step in, it's... More

My fiancée and I have spent the last three months traveling throughout Australia and New Zealand. We have stayed at over 20 different accommodations including many 4 and 5 star hotels and this is, BY FAR, the best place we have stayed at! It is a beautiful place! You get completely free breakfast, not just continental but hot eggs, French... More

it was our 40th wedding anniversary and our children organised a night at Eliza's as a surprise. It was such a lovely thing for them to do and Eliza's provided all the very special touches. The room was enormous and very elegant. The rain shower was a treat in itself. The house is full of character and elegance with a... More

With Christchurch accommodation at a premium, its not alway possible to book my prefered hotel. I found myself in this situation during a recent business trip to CHC. I turned to Tripadvisor to source a good room for the night and found ELiza's had some availabilty. Well what a pleasant surprise this place was. The hosts were welcoming and accommodating,... More

My wife and I have stayed at Eliza's on numerous occasions. We could not have picked a better establishment, nor wished for more friendly and welcoming hosts. The service was excellent every time. The bedroom and en suite bathroom was elegant, comfortable and clean, and the breakfasts in the morning were delicious. The hotel is centrally located with easy access... More

We visited Eliza's back in 2010, a month before the first earthquake hit Christchurch. We got to see Eliza's, and the city, in all of its glory. It was heartbreaking to see pictures of the destruction. After seeing the damage, we vowed to come back and support the city we loved so much with our tourism dollars. We decided to... More

We just loved our stay at Eliza's. The hosts were wonderfully welcoming and their hospitality was fantastic. The room was clean, warm and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. We would absolutely stay there again.

We've stayed at Eliza's twice now and really don't see a reason to go anywhere else. The location is perfect for the good restaurants, bars and it's only a small walk to the park and centre of town. We've enjoyed the warm welcomes when we arrive and the big breakfasts in the mornings. The owners are more than willing to... More

Great attention from the tenant, Ann, who is a fantastic person. I enjoyed the eggs Benedict in the morning cooked by a French chef. The manor is a place you can only remember and greatly renovated after the earthquake. The place is cozy and well located as you can walk downtown and close to the airport. For the children, they...
