Having landed in New Zealand only an hour or two before arriving to Country Glen Lodge, we were really pleased to find that a local bus literally drops you at the doorstep. The sun was shining and it made the long flight totally worth it, even at this point! The lodge was easy to find and check in was simple... More

Stayed two nights and booked a disabled unit for 3 in September - but unfortunately someone slipped up and we ended up with a one bedroom unit with no accessible shower. We did get an apology and the use of a bathroom in another unit but that meant a trek across the carpark and only available once so 2 days... More

We stayed one night over cup weekend, everywhere else was booked out. While adequate, this isn't an above-average establishment, fine for a brief stay and the unit was spacious enough, there was a bit of traffic noise being on the corner of Bealey Avenue. The gravel parking area must be due to earthquake damage presumably, there were some expensive vehicles... More

Stayed here four nights. We had Unit 1 which had a separate bedroom. Unit was clean, very adequate, no microwave but that was not a problem as there was an oven and cooktop and plenty of pots and pans. We could hear the traffic but it didn't bother us. Other Units would have probably been quieter. We did not have... More

Stayed here either side of a tour down to Central Otago. The motel was very comfortable, clean and convenient - only a short walk into the city centre which is starting to be rebuilt, and on the main road to the airport or elsewhere out of town. The owners have been through a lot - they lost their house in... More

As part of our stay in NZ we were booked in with our wives. There had been a mix up on our part as to arrival dates. The owners could not have been more accommodating. Excellent friendly staff. Rooms were immaculate. It was sad to see the aftermath of the earthquake , but very uplifting to see the resilience of... More

I stayed here for three nights on business and found the motel to be very clean and comfortable. I had a studio unit which was very spacious with a very comfortable bed. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a three week stay here whilst our earthquake damaged home was repaired. The hosts were very accommodating and helpful. We were even allowed to bring our little dog and they made efforts to make her welcome and secure. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The unit we stayed in was spacious, well equipped and immaculate. Plenty of... More

We stayed here for two nights when visiting Christchurch with family. The owners are absolutely charming and made us very welcome. The units are excellent - we didn't actually eat in, but could have done easily, as the kitchen was very well equipped. The rooms and bathrooms are spotlessly clean, the beds extremely comfortable and there were generous supplies of... More
