I was lucky and got a room on one of the top floors and newly renovated. Had a flatscreen unlike other so called 5 star hotels. Very roomy, styley with bathroom and closet 'hidden'around the corner. I'm glad work paid for this one. more

This is without doubt the best hotel we have used for some time. The staff were friendly and welcoming and go out of their way to please. We didin't stay at The George but another Chef recommended the resturant, and we were not disappointed, we chose the resturant downstairs, and had 4 courses, they were fantastic, the best meal in Christchurch. I would recommend the wild hare, and groper, delish! Also the conceirge were the most helpful gentlemen. more
