Excellent location, smack in the middle of the town- Walking distance to all the restaurants and attractions. Took the junior suite, with big windows all around offering great views of the city and the cathedral next door. Room Service Menu & Food though were a bit of a let down. Courteous staff and excellent facilities. more

I booked my stay with a travel agent, as the rate offered was much cheaper than offered on the hotels website. I never understand why hotels offer 3rd parties a better deal as they offer when a client books directly with the hotel. However, the travel agent offered complimentary breakfast, should we stay 3 nights or longer. After reading several... more

Stayed here for three days with wife and three year old daughter. Pleasant experience. Biggest plus for the hotel is the location. Unless you want to go really high end, this is a good bet if you are using the hotel as a base for exploration. Breakfast is not spectacular but decent. Rooms are clean, house keeping was Ok. All... more

Yes, beautiful location, lovely rooms, friendly people but they cannot communicate to save themselves. The manager of the hotel did not know his hotel's deals and argued with me about the entitlements of my tariff. No such thing as the customer is always right here. After I chased several calls back home to get what I was entitled they didn't... more

Management response from
MillenniumHotel, General Manager

I was most concerned and distressed to learn of this incident, as certainly it is not our usual 5* standard of service. Having investigated this myself, the recently appointed front line manager that was involved did not follow the correct steps on ascertaining the status of the reservation and in addition did not follow-up the query appropriately, and this has...

This is a prestigious city centre hotel. The room was spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed and a massive bathroom. Our room had great views of cathedral square. The only down point was the noise of the city. Would definately stay here again. more

I honestly can't say anything really bad about this hotel. It's more the little things that just didn't impress me. - The bathroom had a 2 inch lip that you would catch your toe on as you walked in. - The Internet was around $30 NZ to use and you were capped at 10 MB and then charged on a... more

This hotel is located in a convenient location. You can walk to restaurants and to the nice park. Our room was located on the 9th floor, with a view overlooking the Cathedral Square. The room was quiet as far as the noise on the inside of the hotel, however, you could hear the noise on the outside. It was not... more

Stayed one night. Great location, spacious room, friendly and courteous reception staff. Also noticed noise in room possibly from airconditioning. Warm atmosphere. Great live entertainment in bar. more

Front of house/check in desk staff top people. Helpful and most pleasant. We arrived late and had a premium room which was excellent. Unfortunately the only food available was deep fried and a very limited choice. First night we froze as they had forgotten to put on the eiderdowns. When we left two days later we had a little over... more
