Christchurch was the last stop on a 12-night trip around "central" NZ. I chose the Heritage based on its location and some solid reviews here. Spent a night at the hotel in their Executive suite. No frills hotels so this will be no frills review! Expensive internet. Good working room .. but the bed area is in theelevated area .. almost like s separate room with it own TV .. but the bath is way down the steps in the living area. Good location ..... more

If you want a hotel with old style luxury and service then this is for you. If your budget will allow booked a suite in the OGB (old government building) as it is incredible. Very helpfull reception staff who go out of their way to assist. Also excellent position on Cathedral Square for restaurants and bars. more

We booked a family room on a school holiday special. It was really spacious with a large lounge with lovely big dining room table. Kitchen had everything we could want. My husband and I had three nights in a Deluxe room. It was a great experience, the entire staff from check-in to housekeeping were friendly and helpful. Breakfast and valet parking was included in our package price, which was value for money. The breakfasts in the Maddison Restaurant were excellent with a great variety.
