I had good service before, but not nearly as good as in the Heritage. Their friendly staff will always be there on an outlook to help you in any way required. The hotel is located in the city centre, so most things you need outside of it are accessible. The beds in the rooms are really comfy, and there is... More

Great service from the doorstep, pleasant atmosphere and hotel itself is place to see. Located in central Christchurch on walking distance to pretty much everything in the city centre. Room I had is very interesting and spacious, health club is a great plus! Recommend it to everyone.

Great old building in the blighted heart of Christchurch just by the wounded cathedral - so very central. We hadn't done due diligence before we booked so were amazed to discover our rooms were suites on two floors. Mine had kitchen, living room, twin bedded bedroom and master. There was nothing wrong with the master which had an enormous bed... More

After being boxed in with our car, realizing there was no a/c (really didn't need it)and a speeding ticket, this hotel met all of our wants. It is in an old government building that made it through the earthquake of 2011. There are really no views as the city is rebuilding....slowly. But the room is expansive, with the bedroom and... This was our second stay at the Heritage, the first time was before the earthquake and this was our first trip back after the disaster. This is a beautiful old building which has been well converted into a hotel with great rooms. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The rooms are well serviced and clean. A perfect place to... We stayed here for 1 night, and loved this hotel. The whole building has a lot of charm and character, and the rooms are really big with 2 levels in the suites! The beds have so many pillows on them for every different sleep type! They also offer recycling which is nice to see in a hotel room! My only... More

First impressions are important, mine was of a reception staff member who admitted she had no idea what she was doing and that she was losing the plot, not a great start. This continued for several minutes as I was made to feel I was in the wrong for checking in early when in fact it was after 2 p.m.... More

Amazing that this building survives as most of Christchurch slowly rises like the phoenix. Don't expect a pretty view from your window but otherwise all was clean and comfortable including washing machines and a dish-washer. Over-generous with unnecessary pillows and cushions. Only top windows open. Young staff very helpful especialy Eilidh. Very central which is useful for tourists. Hard to... More

This iconic property is right in the heart of Christchurch city centre and the surrounding Cathedral Square area seems to have been "Ground Zero" for the earthquake, as this is the only building seemingly untouched. Due to this, the area has a bit of a "run-down" feel to it, which is unfortunate, but doesn't detract from the hotel itself, which... More

This hotel was a beautiful place to stay. Right opposite the old cathedral and a perfect place to explore the Christchurch rebuild. The building itself has so much character, we had a lovely spacious 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, apartment, the beds were really plush and comfortable, the shower was wonderful - no meagre drizzle of water here - and service...
