The Heritage Christchurch is located in the City's Central Square, which was sadly devastated by the earthquakes. Now that the City Centre has reopened, the hotel is in a good location, within easy walking distance of shopping facilities and attractions. The hotel occupies a lovely historic building and our suite was beautiful and very comfortable. The room itself was accessed... More

I stayed at the Heritage Hotel in New Zealand and while the building was beautiful the management lacked in every way in creating a warm and inviting environment. It is one of those places where you feel like it is a privilege to give them your business. There are so many nice places to stay on the South Island. I... More

This hotel is one of the few remaining remnants of the beautiful historic buildings that used to line the streets of Christchurch. Thankfully it was untouched by the earthquakes, due to being 'over-engineered', but is surrounded by partially destroyed or derelict buildings. Across the road is the lovely Christchurch Cathedral, in ruins & the subject of conflict between the Church,... More

A little bit of nostalga being in the middle of rubble but the staff are great and really helpful. Great recommendations. The gym and pool area is also very well equipped. Parking is right out the fromt of the hotel so also great. We would recommend this hotel amd stay again.

We stayed here for 3 nights as we wanted to revisit some locations in the suburbs and see how the city had improved from the devastating earthquakes. We thought being right in the centre of the city would mean we would have amenities such as restaurants etc nearby and some sight- seeing as we didn't have any transport available. We... More

I really enjoyed the Heritage. An amazing building with true historic significance. Located directly in th center of Christchurch, it is ideal for whatever type of trip you are on. The duplex rooms are well equipped and extremely comfortable. The staff was exceptional an helped in ny way they could. My only grip is that the street noise was unbearable... More

Very good accommodation, lovely sitting area and great mezzanine bed and bathroom. Location fine for us but maybe not so good for business these days. A beautiful heritage building quiet and rooms are suites. Had a great stay

First off, this hotel is in a really grand old building with high ceilings, stained glass, and an amazing staircase. It survived the earthquakes when the buildings around it didn’t. Unfortunately a lot of places around it are still closed, but it’s still a good base for exploring downtown Christchurch. Each apartment was originally just a room with a high... More

This a restored old building, which is really grand and beautiful. The room was beautifully furnished and really comfortable. Staff was helpful and attentive. Location is great, too. It surely didn't disappoint. Perfect!
