shared the lodge with 6 others and there was more than enough room for us all - also stayed in a two bedroom apartment which was also very spacious. All staff encountered were polite and friendly and more than happy to provide assistance. Accommodation was clean comfortable and warm - would not hesitate to stay there again

Starting to look a little tired, need refurbishment. Double bed a little narrow. Consider a two single bed option. Noise from kids using using playground. Otherwise 12 min walk to city main attractions. Good selection of restaurants within walking distance.

Stayed here for 4 nights at the end of our holiday. For our family of 6 we had a roomy 2 bedroom unit which included a loft bedroom. Quirky castle feel which adds to the charm. Location perfect for walking to restaurants, city centre and Hagley Park. Service was great with rooms cleaned daily.

This is a bit of a surprise! You almost feel like you're in a Disney hotel or maybe a Broadway set. The buildings are faux Olde English and furnishings continue the theme. However, the rooms are spacious and the kitchen and bath were clean and well appointed. The desk clerk is helpful in finding dining spots and nearby attractions. Parking... More

My family and I visited in December 2014. The motel is clean and comfortable. There is one room downstairs and a room (without door) at mezzanine floor. And there is only one toilet in the room downstairs. Its a bit inconvenient when we want to use the toilet as my father took that room. Every time, when we want to... More

Journey to the Middle Ages at Camelot Motor Lodge. Reminiscent of an old medieval village, this motel provides basic comforts and old world charm. A statue of a full-sized knight stands at the reception to carry you into the dark ages. Guest rooms are located in white buildings with exposed dark cross beams and spires. Large and comfortable, the rooms... More

I stayed at this lodge in late February for two nights whilst visiting Christchurch...it is quite quirky! The room was surprisingly spacious, comprising 1 bedroom and a lounge and kitchenette attached. The location was reasonable in relation to accessing the city centre, though the local restaurant choice was disappointing. The main plus point was the service...the reception staff couldn't be... Here for work, 2 nights. Dead ants in room on arrival and an infestation in kitchen soon after. Owner insinuated I had brought the ants with me (all the way from Wellington). Demanded to know how I was paying for room before apologising for ant issue, despite me having discussed payment with the receptionist earlier. Owner used air freshener and... More

we stayed here with brother, sister in law, niece, nephew and grandparents for baby sitters. It was excellent for what we needed. 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, laundry. Family wise it ended up less than $150 per night with only 3 bedrooms being used! Pool and spa added into the mix - we would happily stay here again. Don't expect... More

We stayed here twice, for one night on each occasion during our recent holiday. The hotel is close the the CBD, and there are several restaurants within a few minutes walk. There was parking outside the rooms, but the parking area got quite congested. The rooms had two bedrooms, each with their own bathroom, which suited us well, as two... More
