A bit scary to have arrived at the motel after 2am and was assigned a room (numbered 1) facing the street. There was a connection bedroom which does not have heater, I was left with the only choice of sleeping in the bed next to the dining table in the sitting room. The little heater was not efficient enough to... More

We stayed here for the first two nights of our South Island trip. The apartments are in a good location, particularly if you are wanting to see locations such as the Mona Vale, Botanical Gardens and Cardboard Cathedral. These all are within walking distance (about 3km to the Cathedral though so we were lazy and drove). There is also a... More

Fairly decent hotel in an almost central location with a lot of restaurants and super markets in close driving range. Has its own parking space and the rooms are spacious enough with a decent supply of utensils, cutlery, cooking ware, gas and microwave. The owners, who i assume live in a segment of the hotel are a nice and friendly... More

Stayed here with a family of four, big room with kids having their own room with singles. Place is older and a bit worn down but for one night plenty decent for a pre airport overnight. Super friendly and helpful at the front desk. Tons of restaurants right around the corner two minute walk. Try the steak and burger place... More

This accommodation was great for what we were looking for. But without a doubt it's most outstanding feature was the hosts Bruce and Maggie. Bruce very kindly meet us at the train station from the Tranz Coastal scenic trip which was an hour and a half late ( I did ring Maggie and let her know this as soon as... More

This place has cute and spacious rooms and is well situated. It's a very pleasant walk across the gardens from the Christchurch CBD, and is also walking distance from a lot of shops, including a mall, on Riccarton Road. Some aspects of the rooms are a little dated, reminding me of some past family holidays, but everything is clean and... More

This place is a cozy and an affordable option in Christchurch.Centrally located, it's quite near to malls, grocery stores and restaurants. The owner is an extremely friendly person and helped us out in our day to day activities and requirements. The rooms are extremely spacious and we'll equipped. Highly recommended for a simple, cozy, homelike stay in Christchurch.

Stayed one night, great welcome at reception. Location is great, with plenty of restaurants just around the corner and a short enough walk into the centre of Christchurch. As said by other reviewers, the rooms are a little dated, but it was good value for what we paid. Perfect for short stays, but I probably wouldn't stay here for a... More

Stayed two nights at this motel and Bruce the Manager could not have been more helpful with advise and places to visit. They also provided transport to the train that we were catching to continue our trip. We stayed in an upstairs King studio.. plenty of room, with a kitchen. Across the road from the Christchurch Botanical Gardens and a... More

We spent 2 nights here and have no complaints at all. As another person has mentioned maybe the bathroom and toilet is small but totally adequate for short stays. Staff excellent and helpful. Highly recommended!
