We stayed here last month and loved the place. It is quiet, has great amenities (great kitchenette, laundromat, parking space and free wi-fi). There are lots of restaurants, a 24 hour convinience store and a couple of bus stops within a 5 min walk. While it is some distance away from the airport, It is located right opposite the beautiful... More

i stayed in this hotel with other 5 friends and we took the family room for 1 night just opposite the reception. The reason why we stayed in this hotel were just because of the location and it can fit all of us. The bed and room was ok and clean. The only thing that surprise was the way we... More

Thank you for taking the time to give your review. When I checked you and your group in at 5pm I went through a city map with you as you advised you were going to go into the city. I also advised where shops and the supermarket was. As with all guests who are staying with us for just 1... More

we have stayed here a couple of times in the past two years and loved our stay. Hosts Maggie and Bruce are a lovely welcoming and warm couple. Nothing is a problem and they go out of their way to make your stay a happy experience. It's close to the central city and just across the road from beautiful Hagley... More

We loved this hotel. We were checked in quickly and efficiently. We were shown to our room which was clean and airy. Bruce gave us a welcome basket with teas and a few snacks. There were 5 of traveling together. We opted for 2 rooms in advance however we would have fit comfortably in just one room. One bed was... More

My husband and I have been travelling to Christchurch quite regularly for business over the last few months and have always stayed at Argyle on the Park. We find Bruce and Maggie very helpful and eager to please. This last time we stayed we were in Room 6 which is the top room at the front of the Motel. Lovely... More

We stayed here recently for 6 nights while in Christchurch,NZ. Was a very clean but bit dated looking type of Motel or Lodge however it was chosen by us for the purpose of being economical. The Managers Maggie and Bruce were friendly and helpful. Our room number 11 was opposite a side street called Bartlett street which became quite noisy... More

We booked a King Studio room via Agoda for 1 night. We took a taxi from the railway station and taxi took only 10 minutes. The young owner greeted us with a bucket of discount coupons and also offered late check out. We were given room No. 11. Also, he explained the area using a map. We found some of... More

A bit scary to have arrived at the motel after 2am and was assigned a room (numbered 1) facing the street. There was a connection bedroom which does not have heater, I was left with the only choice of sleeping in the bed next to the dining table in the sitting room. The little heater was not efficient enough to... More

We stayed here for the first two nights of our South Island trip. The apartments are in a good location, particularly if you are wanting to see locations such as the Mona Vale, Botanical Gardens and Cardboard Cathedral. These all are within walking distance (about 3km to the Cathedral though so we were lazy and drove). There is also a... More

Fairly decent hotel in an almost central location with a lot of restaurants and super markets in close driving range. Has its own parking space and the rooms are spacious enough with a decent supply of utensils, cutlery, cooking ware, gas and microwave. The owners, who i assume live in a segment of the hotel are a nice and friendly... More
