During a holiday visiting various parts of South Island, we stayed in several Econo Lodges. Canterbury Court was most definitely the best. It is accessible, clean and the welcome by the Proprietor was friendly and helpful. This was an excellent place to stay and I'd recommend it without reservation.

Was connecting in Christchurch following Trans-Alpine Express and looking for existing accommodations. Booked Canterbury (cab ride from railstation) and glad we did! Good welcome, clean and decent sized room with well-equipped kitchenette. Could walk to nearby grocery store for dinner items. Sliding doors to small outside patio-lovely lady at reception. In a city so devastated by earthquake, this was a... More

We arrived very late at night and the courteous manager arranged access to the room for us. The room was fine, clean, tidy, heaters worked and comfortable beds. The taxi fare from the airport was more then I hoped ($42NZ) but for the price the motel was fine and the manager was very helpful.

This was the last stop of our 9 days New Zealand trip and thanks to our last Hotel stay, we had a most wonderful trip ever. The rooms are as usual good with all amenities provided along with a clean and spacious bathroom. The location is good away from the city crowd.

Econo lodge says most of it, but. It's an old place but all very clean and worth the money. Staff were very friendly and I would not hesitate to stay there again. It was Avery cold night but there was a suitable heater.

This is an older motel, but tidy and well maintained. Looked like had been freshly painted and new lino. its not modern, but we knew that and so have given four stars. It delivers what they say. It was quiet, heating and electric blankets were great in the cold weather. Although we did have to ask for a heater. It... More

Stayed for 4 nights here, room was musty and cold and severely outdated however, the beds were very comfortable, the lady at reception was not very friendly but other than that it was an ok stay Would recommend for maybe a 1-2 night stay.

Stayed for one night on the way to Dunedin. Motel is located not far from Southern motorway for access but units are set back from Lincoln road so are very quiet. The room was clean and contained all the amenities that you expect including free wifi access. About 1km up Lincoln road to the east there are about 10 restaurants... More

The motel is a nice and quiet little place a little outside of Christchurch. The rooms were comfy and clean. We really enjoyed the bed and slept so good. Also the bathroom was spacious and clean. It was a place to feel good, relax and unwind after a long flight. We would definitely come back!

This is a clean and humble motel, but is very dated. Perfectly OK for just a place to rest your head. Nice people running it, and handy to a small supermarket 5 mins walk away. Quite easy to get on to road out of Christchurch.
