Pleasant self contained accomodation in the owners house a short drive from the airport. Excellent breakfast. Made to feel very welcome and the conducted tour of their small holding was fun. Separate sitting room and wifi were appreciated.

We went in a group of four last Saturday during our short stay in Christchurch. Lorna greeted us with a warm smile and showed us around her house. We were served hot coffee , tea and cookies as evening tea while relaxing in the comfortable house. Lorna prepared delicious and sumptuous breakfast for us based on our preference. There were... The minute we stepped into the door, the aroma from the kitchen smells really home. Lorna showed us to our rooms and they were decorated right down to the details. English style was tastefully eminent. The balcony led to a view of green pasture and free roaming animals even in that winter. Breakfast was delightfully wholesome, with homemade jams, toasted... This is the best farmstay experience we've ever had in our lives! The farm is well located within minutes driving distance to Christchurch city centre and airport. Lorna is a lovely host of the farm. We reached a bit late in an autumn evening, and Lorna had been waiting to welcome us "home"! After the warm welcome, Lorna brought us... More

We stayed at the miners arms for one night and it was incredible! We were gutted that we couldn't stay longer. It's a little gem. There was a great amount of space for our family. And at only a stones throw away from the City its a wonderful little retreat! It was a wonderful home away from home. Our two... More

There's two seperated bedroom, though we only use one, and you can see animals at your own balcony. Thank Lorna for leading us to see the cute animals in the farm and serve us very delicious breakfast. There is Alpaca in the farm, Alpaca lovers can't miss Miners Arms BB.

This is a comfortable 2 bedroom B and B which offers spacious rooms in a peaceful setting. Lorna made us feel very welcome. It was great to be able to be like big kids and get involved with feeding the animals! much appreciated. The grounds are accessible too and you are very much " in the country". Being able to... Lorna and Steve offer very fine accommodation in the general vicinity of Christchurch, proximate to the airport but with no aircraft noise. Our accommodation comprised a very comfortable bedroom and associated sitting room, upstairs from Lorna and Steve's part of the house. These two rooms access the verandah and across the passage a spacious bathroom with bath and separate shower.... More

We stayed in March 2014 at Miners Arms Bed and Breakfast. We were a family of four adults and found our stay very lovely. We had two seperate bedrooms and our own bathroom and lounge room that had tea/coffee making facilities, a fridge and microwave. We were given a breakfast menu so that each of us could choose what we... More

A farmstay that is not too far away from Christchurch airport. The room was clean and comfortable. The alpacas were cute and friendly. my daughter loved feeding them. Lorna gave us a tour of the farm and shared her stories with us. There was a great selection for breakfast.
