Loved the location; loved the in suite laundry; small refrigerator and microwave, and that's the extent of the cooking facilities. It was enough for us since we were only here 2 nights. Big jacuzzi tub and shower; challenge for anyone mobility challenged. Loved the free wifi; hated the sofa (just not that comfortable); We were on the 2nd floor; no... More

This was a great place to stay. Good location a bit away from the town centre but within walking distance. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. We had a lovely room on the ground floor. There was no lift for upper floors. Our room was large with desk space, nice chairs, sofa, kitchenette and a washing machine and drier that... More

Location: About 15-20 minutes from the airport and train station. It cost about $40 NZD to get there from the train station. It’s on a street that’s about 10-15 mins walk to city center as well as the main park/botanical gardens. We didn’t stay in Christchurch long, but found that even though the hotel was pretty centrally located, it’s much... More

Mood lighting is good for creating a mood, but very poor for working. We had to prepare for a customer visit and the poor lighting in the room was not helped by windows opening onto a wall. Very helpful host filling in for the owner and great facilities in the room including full washing facilities

Clean. Well maintained unit. We appreciated the complimentary snacks and wifi. The room was very dark although that didn't matter for a one night stay but we did find it too noisy ( a lot of road noise). Maybe when all the re building settles down this spot will quieten a little........

We stayed for 2 nights at the start of our 2 week family catch up and again for 2 night before we flew to Australia. We stayed in 2 & 3 and both were very well appointed with a comfortable king bed. I am very noise sensitive but while you can hear road noise it was acceptable and we both... More

This hotel fit the bill for our overnight stay after flying in to Christchurch. It is well set up, the rooms are clean and feature washing machine and dryer, free WIFI, microwave and small courtyard. Within walking distance is a number of restaurants and cafes. It is a decent walk to the town centre, however the town centre remains fairly... More

Christchurch was our last stop on our south island trip and we had stayed in considerably bigger and better appointed apartments than this in other towns. Having said that, accommodation seems quite limited in Christchurch still (understandably) and we were pleased with the kitchen facilities and additional requests were promptly fulfilled for a cot and high chair. Location is good... More

I did a lot of research on accommodation for Christchurch, as you can imagine and when I contacted this place they were so friendly and accommodating. And we weren't disappointed. A small family run apartment block and very personal service. Great rooms, very modern and great appliances and one of the few apartments with a washer and dryer so that... More

This was our second time at Terra Vive, having decided to return after our 2 week trip around the south island. We had a deluxe spa room on the upper floor. The rooms are immaculate and very well furnished. The washer/drier is a bonus after travelling. The hotel is on a Main Street so there is a bit of traffic... More
