Even though I am a mainlander, I tend to get lost in Christchurch, but there was no such problem with this motel. It is on the main road into town from the south, and close to Riccarton for food or shopping. I actually picked the motel purely on the basis it was the cheapest I could find, and on that... More

Russell was a friendly and helpful host and ensured my stay was comfortable the room was spacious and the bed comfortable there was no road noise and the motel is situated right across the road from the warehouse and within walking distance to the mall but if you prefer there is a bus stop outside the motel. This a good... More

Room was good and spacious. The bathroom ceiling was grubby with mould like marks on the roof - could do with a really good scrub down. Different to have a separate kitchen area with table. Was handy in location

We stayed at Classique Lodge Motel while we did the Trans Alpine Train trip. We were greated in a friendly helpful manner. The room was clean, comfortable and met our requirements perfectly. We would definitely stay there again.

Will never stay there again. We had unit 1. There was road noise all night. There were scary young men on the sidewalk shouting much of the night, so much so that my husband did not want to go out to the car to get something we needed. The sofabed our children shared was VERY uncomfortable and noisy. We couldn't... More

Thank you for your comments. Unfortunately most motels are situated on main thoroughfares, making it easier for guests to find them. Yes you did have Unit One, which is the one that you booked and it is advertised as the closest unit to the road, hence the price difference to all our other studio units. Unfortunately we were unaware of... More

Great welcome and host makes up for a few shortcomings, and maybe I'm getting fussy! Rooms very spacious and clean, bathroom and kitchen pretty dated but everything works. Good bed too. If you're a light sleeper there is lots of ambient noise from nearby road and rail yards. Overall good value for money, don't expect flash or corporate

Thank you for your comments, we appreciate the comment about noise, but as most motels are situated on busy main thorughfares it is hard to escape this. More

We stayed here before we flew back to the UK. It was very comfortable, good size, and well equipped. The unit was clean. Towels were white, soft and great. Owners were very friendly and wifi cheap.

The Classique Lodge Motel is in a very handy location in Christchurch. The Warehouse, Mad Butcher, Bakery place, Kosco (Asian supermarket), Veggie Market is across the road. A 7-min walk from Westfield Shopping Centre. A few more minutes of walk from there to Hagley Park. We stayed in Unit 9 (spacious 1-bed) for a month, due to relocation to NZ.... More

A cheap and cheerful motel located no more than a 5 min drive from Christchurch city centre fully equipped with all mod cons, with a brilliant kitchen in our unit (which was closest to the road, cheaper than the rest, but you really can’t hear the traffic at all)! While the room is a generous size, the bathroom wasn’t heated,... More

This is a comfortable little motel in a handy spot in Christchurch. It is in a location with a string of other motels. From this position it is quick and easy to get to the airport, go north or south, or head into the city. The owners are friendly and helpful and overall it is great value. Note that you... More
