Our travel agent booked us here and the good news is that we got a beautiful room in the main house. The bad news is that we were here only one night. All of the reviewers have sung the praises of John and Robyn and we can only echo the chorus. John asked our preferences and made reservations for our... More

There is no better introduction to New Zealand's Marlborough wine country than a stay at Maison Grange. Our room had a view into the vineyards of pinot noir and the hills beyond. John and Robyn are impeccable hosts. As soon as we arrived John settled us in with dining reservations, drawing on his extensive knowledge of local wine and restaurants.... More

We celebrated our wedding anniversary at Maison Grange and it was absolutely idyllic. The luxurious accommodation was set right beside a picturesque vineyard, so close we could almost reach out and touch the vines! Robyn and John were totally outstanding hosts giving us the warmest of welcomes and providing finishing touches that made our stay one to remember! Don't miss... More

We spent 3 nights in this wonderful place. The hosts, John and Robyn, couldn't have been more gracious or accommodating. This location with a vineyard out our backyard, mountains on the horizon and grass covered hill behind is peaceful and spectacular. The suites are spacious and beautiful with attention to every detail. The breakfasts are remarkable in service and taste.... More

Probably the most elegant B&B your are ever likely to stay in with hosts to match. Your room's patio abuts the rows of grape vines and concktails around the pool are special. The room is so beautifully decorated and appointed you can't believe it is yours for the entitity of your stay. The communal living room is another masterpiece in... More

We stayed at Maison Grange over New Year and it was a real highlight of our three month trip. The house is absolutely stunning - a beautifully restored winery set amongst pristine vineyards. The accommodation itself was top class with stunning interior design, the comfiest bed I've slept in and lovely personal touches like fresh cookies each day. The hosts... More

Excellent accommodation with charming hosts. Accommodation included self contained suite with every amenity - gourmet kitchen, superior beds and peaceful surroundings, very close to Blenheim and all the Marlborough vineyards. Robyn and John were welcoming and went out of their way to see that we were comfortable, including baking gluten free muffins for breakfast to accommodate an allergy. Highly recommend

We stayed in the cottage, which has incredible vineyard views. The hosts, John and Robyn, were lovely and thoughtful. They left us a bottle of the delicious wine that is made from the grapes they grow as well as yummy chocolate cookies. Breakfast was amazing with homemade jams and muffins made by Robyn, who also cooked up delicious hot options.... More

Unfortunately we only spent one night here - in the cottage. A wonderful property - a winery converted into a spacious and contemporary home sitting among their vineyards. These grapes are the award-winning St. Clair Pioneer Block pinot. The highlight are your hosts - John (retired Air NZ exec) and Robyn (author of many cookbooks). Gracious, informative, and caring. And... More

This was simply a wonderful experience. The property is based on a small vineyard and the views are incredible. However what makes it so special are the owners Robyn and John who were exceptional hosts. Robyn made the most amazing canapes and breakfasts to die for. Also they produce the most amazing Pinot Noir from their grapes which we also... More
