This place is just awesome. We stayed here for two nights and enjoyed every minute, we just felt right at home. By far the best stay in our six week traveling around the amazing country of New Zealand. Paul and Daphne are wonderful hosts, they are very helpful and know everything about what to do in the area, lots of the... More

We stayed in the in the Cottage for 5 nights during our NZ road trip. We used the cottage as a base to explore the Vineyards, Picton, Nelson etc. The cottage is well equipped and clean and tidy, friendly hosts and neighbours, excellent views over the vineyard. Modern bikes and safety gear available to explore the area. Sheep, deer and... More

We stayed in the Shearers Cottage for 4 nights. It was second stay there for us. We saw nice vineyard view from our room. How was lovely and peaceful scenery, very relaxed on our holidays. I was woken by bird's singing every day and enjoyed watching beautiful sky with sunrise. They provided us free range eggs, homemade jam ( marmalade was... More

We stayed in the Shearers Cottage with was very comfortable and spacious with all the facilities we needed for a comfortable stay. We were just beside one of the Withers Hill vineyards perfect for a visit to Marlborough. Daphne and Paul were very knowledgable and helpful hosts. We loved the free range eggs provided by them. We used the pool... More

We stayed 2 nights in the Shearers cottage. I'd say this is perfect size for 2 people, it will accommodate 3 but that might get a bit tight. Beds and furniture are all very comfortable. The main road isn't too far off but didn't even hear it. The hosts are extremely friendly but not overwhelming (they leave you to your... More

We stayed three nights in the cottage and enjoyed the location and the accommodation. The cottage is one of the first properties you come to and people using some of the other accommodation have to drive past it, this did not bother us as it was infrequent, but for those wishing full privacy you need to be aware . It... More

Thank you very much for your comments about The Cottage and also for pointing out that other guests drive may have to past to reach their accommodation. We do recommend that guests wanting more privacy should look at The Stables which is at the end of the track and has its own semi-private garden, which overlooks the sheep paddock and... More

We stayed in The Stable Cottage which was the most secluded out of all the cottages and had views over a paddock of lemon trees and sheet. The cottage had been tastefully decorated. The hosts were delightful and very helpful. We took the bikes out for a morning which was great, i like to think we would have kept going... More

We were reluctant to leave our accommodation this morning. We stayed in 'The Cottage' which overlooked a field of vines. It was cosy, comfortable and well-appointed. The food provided for breakfast was gorgeous, especially the eggs which we will now miss. We're fussy about our beds and water pressure, but had no problems with either in the cottage. The hair-dryer... More

Thanks for the very positive review. We were unaware of the problem with the hair dryer, but have now replaced it. Thanks for pointing it out. More

We enjoyed the stay here in the old diary and shearers quarter, in every way you can imagine. The hospitallity of the owners, the complimentary bicycles to bike around the vineyards, laundry, breakfast, wifi, pool and much more! The lodges are fully equipped. We enoyed also their livestock, especially their chickens and the rooster!
