My husband and I stayed here for one night during our 15 day NZ trip and it was amazing. Such great memories. I did not realize that it was "self-contained" B&B - where you cook your own breakfast - but it was the best thing ever! We woke up at a leisurely pace and were able to make breakfast with... More

Thank you for the lovely comments - Adelaide's Barn is a really restful little cottage with such lovely views of the surrounding hills. It's hard not to relax there - just a shame you only had one night. So sorry you had trouble finding us. Whilst we are not far from the main route between Blenheim and Picton, we appreciate... More

Had a wonderful stay at Marlborough B&B. Nanette and Steve are great hosts and being dog lovers we enjoyed playing with the two dogs as well. Marlborough house is a beautiful quiet house and close to wineries etc. Breakfast was lovely highly recommend staying here.

We feel very lucky to have been pampered guests at Adelaide's Barn. This is accommodation is beautifully decorated and very comfortable in a tranquil setting. Very relaxing after a day of exploring the many attractions of the Marlborough area . Our little kitchen was stocked with provisions when we arrived and that included eggs, fruit, juice milk, cookies,a loaf of Nanette's... More

We stayed here for one night after completing the Abel Tasman walk. All we needed was a shower and a clean bed but we got so much more. Adelaide's Barn is a gorgeous little cottage which has both country charm and all the mod cons. Nanette and Steve were fantastic hosts, and they have created a very relaxing and beautiful... More

We have spent the last three nights in Adelaide's Barn which was utterly charming! After a long drive, the platter that Nannette produced was very welcome for a lovely supper, as was the wine already chilled. Our three days were full and fun, and Nannette and Steve were extremely helpful in offering local advice. We can't imagine there is a... More

My wife and I stayed for two nights in Adelaide's Barn after a long drive from Christchurch with our 6 month old son. It was the perfect place to relax after some long days fishing on the Sounds and wine tasting. Steve and Nanette were fantastic hosts and I would highly recommend the platter for two with a local bottle... More

Close to the ferry, close to the famous Marlborough Wineries, an elegant home in a perfect location. Add to this the most sumptuous platter served up on our arrival enough for a banquet, in fact with terrific breakfasts a comfortable room, a beautiful verandah this was one of the highlights of our stay in NZ, thank you.

Our favorite place in our 2 weeks in New Zealand. Accommodations were awesome and comfortable. Steve and Nanette were the perfect hosts and we enjoyed the bee eating dog. Would have liked to stay a few more nights and will on our return trip.

My wife and I stayed in Adelaide’s Barn for four nights over the Christmas holiday and absolutely loved it. The Kirk family was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. We stayed in the barn only to realize that we stumbled on the ultimate romantic getaway spot. Easy to find location Beautiful set up, tasteful environment, nothing overlooked, everything works. Quaint little touches evident everywhere. Internet abit spotty but who wants world's interruptions on a romantic holiday. Privacy guaranteed. Pleasant and helpful owners.
