This was our second motel in New Zealand. It was warmer and cleaner than the first. By now we realised they haven't invented central heating down under yet. This motel has hot air blowers in each room which helped and we didn't have to go to bed in out coats again. In the summer I guess it is quite pleasent

I had read the reviews and kinda knew I would be disappointed and I was. Unfortunately everywhere else was booked. Motel is advertised as four stars - it clearly isn't. Proprietors need to reevaluate that! Clean and tidy- yes. Ok for one night - I suppose. Value for money - no. Some of the appliances (especially the hairdryer) were older... More

We booked this motel because there was nothing else available for our stay in Blenheim. I didn't have high expectations before we arrived. They were not met. We arrived at the motel to the longest check in ever - we were subjected to the third degree - did we want to use the pool, what were our plans, where we... More

Aorangi Manor Motel, is situated a short walk. From the Town centre. On arrival we were met by a very pleasant lady in the reception. My first impression was good but having travelled around the South Island getting free wifi, was horrified to find that there was a small limited amount but you could get 2gb for fifteen dollars, surely... We stayed here for 2 nights in a 2-bedroom unit and found it to be clean and spacious. Beds were comfy and we loved the little touches like organic handwash in the bathroom. It was a busy weekend in Blenheim when we stayed but the motel was quiet and the owner very friendly and helpful.

We stayed here for 2 nights for the wine and food festival. Some of the previous reviews made me a bit nervous but we were very happy with our unit #16. It was a nice little stand alone unit, great big bed and everything else we could need. Yes it was slightly dated but spotlessly clean which I think is... More

The motel facility is decent enough if you do not have a choice but beware of being cheated - their motto appears to be to squeeze as much as possible out of you rather than giving you a pleasant experience. We got a family room with 3 divisions and 5 beds. The owner would not allow my 5 and 6yo to... More

Thank you for your recent review. It certainly was interesting reading it and has certainly given us food for thought. I would however like to correct a couple of things. Firstly you forgot to mention that you made an online booking for 4 people knowing that there were six of you traveling and although you did mention this at the... More

This motel is rather dated but for our family of four it was roomy and had all that we needed. Host was of standard expectation and we didn't have to wait too long to check in or out. The place served it's purpose for the night and I do commend the size of room and location in proximity to town.... More

Of the many motels hotels we stayed in NZ this is by far the rudest petty hostess we came across. beware of the charges, the warnings are posted in the room but not told before you make the booking. Extra charges such as Cooking fish/shellfish/'odiferous' food- 1night's charge Internet- excess of 500mb- $15for 2gb, $25 for 20GB (need to self... More

We come to Blenheim often and enjoy Aorangi. Our host is friendly and keen to be of service, reminding us he is there in case we need anything. The unit is immaculate, soft tones are calming, just what I needed after a long trip. The red brick and green roof appeals from the road and it is so close to... More
