Stayed here for a couple of nights in November 2010 and was made very welcome by our host Julie and her adorable fluffy cat, Elizabeth. We had an ensuite room which was very clean with Tea/Coffee in the room and a comfortable bed with silk covers! Guests have their own lounge with TV which allows for some privacy if needed.... More

We really enjoyed our stay at Brickweld. It's a great base for exploring the fantastic vineyards around Blenheim. The house is extremely comfortable and beautifully decorated. The bedding is luxurious - we certainly had a great night's sleep. The hostess is very welcoming and cooks a fantastic breakfast - highly recommended! Short walk into central Blenheim. Julie made our stay in Blenheim special - she is a great hostess - full of recommendations for the area without being intrusive, and a great cook (breakfast was fresh and simple, a real delight, not your standard bacon and eggs). The house is lovely, tastefully decorated with a pretty garden (my favourite room is the black & white bedroom).... More
