We spontaneously decided to stay at the Cardrona hotel on our way to Wanaka and had a great time. The room was very comfortable and the restaurant was cozy with great food. I stayed here a for a weekend to go skiing at Cardrona. Firstly, I'll mention the excellent parts of this trip: the food in the hotel's restaurant is excellent (we had it every night and tried almost every dish on the menu).
