Definitely good value for money. We stayed in a double room and were surprised that more people were not here. We were made to feel at home. Bathroom and toilets were nice and modern. Kitchen was modern and had comfy seats and recliners to relax. Simple things such as tea, coffee, salt and pepper were provided. We did get woken... More

We had the most wonderful nights sleep in this beautifully situated backpackers. The location is remote, just what we love. The accommodation is of a very high standard. We stayed in the Silver room, comfy beds, clean ensuite and with our own kitchen facilities and all for $30 each for the night. Perfect. You do need your own transport to... More

We are a group of 4 and had stayed at slope point backpackers for a night on 4th February 2015. We were impressed by the cleanliness of the entire place and the warmth hospitality from its owner. Besides being a fantastic place to stay over, it has a great view of the surrounding mountains. Highly recommended for those visiting Catlins... More

We spent two nights in the Slope Point Backpackers. It was a great experience. We booked the green room and it was perfect. All was clean and we had all the items that we need two cook. The familiy was so nice and hospitable and her daugther showed us the different animals that they have.

Very spontaneous we decided to sleep at the Slope Point backpackers! And we didn't regret it! We got a very cosy and cute doubleroom with the most comfortable bed we have ever had on our entire trip through NZ!! In the communal kitchen is free tea and coffee which we really appreciated and it's a nice gesture for all the... More

Slope Point Backpackers is the only shared-facility lodging we have opted for till date and we were a little apprehensive about our visit. However, this undoubtedly turned out to be the best lodging we had during our visit to NZ. We stayed in comfortable and cozy gold room which was super close to the bathroom. The entire facility was extremely... More

Myself and my partner stayed here for one night in a double room with shared bathroom. The room was clean and had lovely decor. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of room for our backpacks. The shower which was powerful and hot was located in a room next to ours so we were practically ensuite. The toilet was... More
