Jeff and Dean's place is straight up the hill from the Embassy Theatre and at the base of Alexandra Park overlooking the city. The room is well appointed and has its own garden. The kitchen shared with the guys is stocked with lots of goodies for breakfast. They gave us great instructions on how to get around and things to... More

My husband and I spent two nights at the start of our NZ trip. It was a quiet location and a great place to get over jet lag. We were welcomed with homemade Christmas cookies and beverages. It was close to town so we walked to see the sights and to restaurants. Jeff gave us a map and suggested a... More

We've just returned from a 6 week bicycling tour of the entire South Island! An amazing trip! We stayed in both of the City Cottage locations; near Cuba St and the Mt. Victoria location. BOTH places were perfect! Clean, hip decor, centrally located, very spacious and had everything you might need. Jeff and Dean are perfect hosts. We loved this... More

Although Jeff was out when we arrived we had clear instructions on how to get in - and park the car! After a quick walk down the hill to visit the amazing new museum we returned to meet Jeff and learn a lot about the city and NZ in general over a friendly glass of wine. His recommendations for restaurants... More

I stayed two nights at the City B&B and can say only positive things about it. It was clean, comsy, the service was great, booking went well and was easy and it is located pretty central with only a few walking minutes away from Courtenay Place. More

We stayed for just one night at the City B&B in September. As everyone who has stayed here knows, it is really Calvin's place and he fully enjoys the attention he gets from International travellers. Calvin did a great job of showing us around, espcially where the empty food plate was and the cupboard containing the cat kibble! He was... More

We stayed at the Wellington City Bed and Breakfast for 5 nights from 10 October 2011 taking advantage of the 5 night special as well as a free bottle of wine via a Tripadvisor deal. Both Dean and Jeff are very generous hosts. They provided good travel and dining tips and were also very good company. Dean picked us up... More

We received a very warm reception from Dean right from the beginning, who very kindly picked us up and dropped us off at the airport even though he didn't have to. The cottage was located in the heart of the city at the Cuba Quarter, which is excellent location for a tourist, and makes for easy exploring of Wellington city.... More
