We enjoyed a wonderful Wellington experience with Neil and Sally at their magnificently restored Victorian home near the botanic gardens. They were fantastic hosts and the home provided an excellent base for our walking tours of Wellington. The rooms and breakfasts were outstanding. We particularly enjoyed our opportunity to talk to Neil and Sally about Wellington over a glass of... More

We stayed a wonderful three nights with our superb hosts Neil and Sally. They could not possibly have been more hospitable. They welcomed us each evening to sit by the pool overlooking the city and share a glass of wine, genuinely curious about our adventures. Over delicious breakfasts we chatted about the day to come. Their personalized walking tour of... More

So for us to be praised with the words "Texas Hospitality" was a great compliment indeed! Edwin and Janet were charming guests, highly educated and knowledgeable and wonderful company. As family people with our daughter living in the South Island we're always delighted to host families and Phil, Kim and their son Cameron were no exception! Widely traveled and enjoyable company, we found that we have many interests in common, including skiing and aviation. Once again we're impressed with the lovely guests that find us through TripAdvisor. More

It's always a special occasion to host honeymoon couples, they're at such a wonderful time in their lives together and their happiness is infectious! Lucy and David were lovely guests and we enjoyed their stay immensely. How kind of Lucy to write a review with such flattering comments. Sally and I hope that we'll see them again someday. More

It's nice to have Gardens Homestay described as a "Wonderful, comfortable base" by our guests. While the bed may have been a bit firm for our reviewers, we're amazed by how many guests say: "That's the best night's sleep I've had in ages!" We find most guests want breakfast at 8 am so they can get out by 9 am... More
