We stayed here several nights and couldn't have asked for better service, cleaner rooms or better location. It was also an extremely good price. $175 per night for 3 adults, two roomed unit with kitchen. Fantastic. Able to walk to restaurants etc. Good supply of consumables and clean towels and comfortable beds. I've read the "terrible" review and I clocked... More

We stayed in this hotel for one night prior to catching the Ferry for South Island. If you have a morning ferry to catch then this hotel is nicely located not far from the Inter Islander Jetty. The rooms are quite big and very nicely done. The toilets are spotlessly clean. The kitchen is well appointed. All in all a... More

The Housekeeping staff do an excellent job keeping this older establishment very clean. Their attention to detail was very good. Not an easy location to find. Great variety of eating places close by with the added facility of charge back to your room. The reception staff were helpful and efficient. Good basement car park and railway station handy. I would... More

My heading says it all - not the easiest location to find, in teeming rain and heavy traffic after a long day's drive, even with a good an up to date GPS. That's not really a gripe, but it is my only slightly negative point. Once we had found it, and having a hire car, the location was excellent, Johnsonville... More

Thank you Andrew for your review. Our Big Brekky breakfast menu is designed to give customer the flexibilities on your specific taste. We believe it was clearly indicated that if you want bacon, sausage etc, you will need to tick the box just like what you ticked for choices of juice, how you liked your eggs cooked, on what type... We stayed here overnight prior to getting the ferry to the South Island. The hotel is situated in Johnsonville about 10km North of Wellington so we never saw the capital. The hotel is hidden up a side street so easily missed (off State Highway 1, left at the roundabout then first left). The staff were all very friendly and helpful,... More

Very nice and clean hotel. The staff recommended a very good restaurant close by. Convenient to shops and restaurants. Wish we had stayed a little closer to downtown Wellington, but this is a great place to stay just outside the city.

This was a return stay, since I found the Best Western so suitable last time. For an overnight stay before taking the vehicle ferry it's ideal. There's good free parking, it's conveniently close to the city, but you can avoid central city traffic if you want, and the suburban train station is close by. The room was comfortable with all... We stayed in a Ohariu Standard 1-Bedroom Suite which was perfect for the three of us. It was clean and comfortable. The staff were welcoming helpful and friendly. The location was great for what we needed, shops with in walking distance every thing you would need with in a 3 minute walk. We would stay again.
