Literally across the road from Te Papa Museum (which in my opinion, is one of the most beautiful and well curated museums I have ever been to, a definite must-see in Wellington). The team at At Home Wellington were friendly, helpful and efficient. All emails were answered promptly and we had a warm welcome. we stayed in a one-room King... More

Wonderfully presented, immaculate, secure, and perfectly located. Parking is tricksy as the hotel doesn't have any of their own, but you can get a bay on the street outside for free after 6pm - before that you have to pay, even to unload, though there are a couple of car parks round the block. Had a lovely balcony to see... More

We stayed in two rooms for two nights early in December. At Home Wellington is a bit difficult to find since it is on the top floor of an office building. Parking can be arranged but you do not really need a car in Wellington. The rooms are comfortably large. The kitchenette is adequate. The staff is very friendly and... More

Stayed here for two nights in July and the room was freezing cold and a bit on the small side. On the other hand, the owners were really friendly and it was close to everything. Still if you seek comfort and travel with an infant as we did, this is perhaps to basic.

Dear Kollegski75, Thanks for your feedback. We are a little confused by your comments to be honest. You say that you stayed in July, which was a cold month being the middle of winter, but we're surprised that you found our rooms too cold. There is an individually controlled heat pump in every apartment and the rooms warm up very... More

The motel/hotel is on the fourth floor and you need an access key to enter the building after hours which makes it safe. The room was amazing and I love the beds.Toilet's great too but the lack of an anti-slip mat in the shower cubicle makes it a little slippery. The gym was cool but the equipment seems broken, probably in the... Dear Farah Y, Thanks for taking the time to write a review, and a great one at that! We are delighted that you loved your room (and our beds!). Thanks for your suggestion regarding an anti-slip mat for the shower, we will definitely take that on board. You are correct in your observations in the gym, some equipment is currently... More

We spent one night here at the last minute, after deciding against a place we'd reserved in Wellington. The hotel occupies one floor of an office building, and our room was huge and superbly equipped. We were delighted to have a washer/dryer for free use in the room! Free wifi, and a well stocked kitchenette. Our room had a balcony... More

Dear LGS782, Thank you so much for sharing your experience. We are very happy that you enjoyed your stay with us. The in-room laundry facilities are indeed a great hit with many of our guests, as is the FREE & UNLIMITED WiFi. It sounds like you stayed in one of our King Studios, as you've said they are very spacious... More

When you get to the hotel, you can press the buzzer to get to the top floor, which is the entire hotel. It's run by a couple who really do make you feel at home. It's like staying with relatives, and I mean ones you really like. That part of the experience makes it feel more like a great B&B,... More

This place was fantastic. We stayed here for two nights during our three-week trip to New Zealand. We traveled from America and had never been to New Zealand before, so our first experience in Wellington was brand-spanking-new. The location of At Home Wellington was perfect for us. We were within talking distance from Cuba Street, Mt. Victoria Lookout, and so... More

This small, boutique hotel is really well located, close to Te Papa. The rooms are well fitted out, including kitchen and clothes washing facilities, and it has made it really easy for us to have a great stay in Wellington.

We loved staying here, it was spotlessly clean, the bed was comfortable, and there was a washer/dryer in the room for our laundry. Te Papa was just around the corner! Be sure to look at the directory in the lobby to find it -- it's on the fourth floor.
