Our two night stay at the Trinity Hotel was a strange mixture of the good and the bad but was redeemed by the helpfulness of the staff. First the good. This hotel is very well located, near the shops, Cuba St, the harbour and on the route to the ferry. It has a smart entrance and helpful reception staff. The... more

Having lived in Wellington for many years, and stayed in the city for work on occasion (usually at Quest Wgtn), my top priorities were location and value – our Monday/Tuesday stay happened to be peak rates at most hotels. The Trinity Hotel is perfect for accessing both Lambton Quay and Courtney place; the bed was comfy and the room small... more

Helpful receptionists, reasonable rooms which are clean and smart but not overly roomy. Its a pleasant walk down into town but perhaps not so pleasant walk up hill back. Had a breakfast in their restaurant which was very nice and not too expensive. more

Yes, the room was small but it was clean and quite comfortable. All staff were helpful. The only downsides were a fairly basic dining room - it was the bar that was open for breakfast. The adjacent dining room was unavailable which was a pity. I see somebody has talked of the worrysome elevator. Nothing has been done to rectify... more

My Husband, 2 y.o and i stayed here. The room was small but thats to be expected. The room had not been serviced properly, so we had to ask for a jug, towels, and bedding for the cot (which was free) The only issue i had was the NOISE. Being in the CBD without double glazing just doesnt make sense... more

I normally stay elsewhere in Wgtn but Trinity was only 5 minutes walk from meeting location so thought I'd try it, even though I'd read some negative reviews. So glad I did. Lovely clean, modern room (albeit small but the price was low for mid-week Wgtn). Highly recommend paying a small amount extra for cooked breakfast. Not the normal a... more

The location was excellent, near all the sites, shopping, and eating places. It was a short walk down to Lambton Quay and the Te Papa, as well as the waterfront, cable car and very near a bus stop to take us further afield. I admit that the room was pretty small and with all our bags it was a bit... more

Stayed here for one night with my wife and we will not make the same mistake again. The elevator was faulty and felt like a death trap. The room was stuffy but when we opened the window we couldn't sleep for the noise from outside. The room was not particularly clean either. The complimentary breakfast was less than disappointing: some... more

Our stay was ok, pretty basic hotel. Good location as its close to all the main attractions in Wellington. The shower door doesnt close properly - water leaks out and makes it yuck for the next person to shower! We booked online and ticked the included breakfast (only extra $2 NZD) but when we went, it was EASTER and the... more

Not sure if all the single rooms are small like mine was, but mine was one queen bed and that's it. So if you're looking to make that your home for a week, forget it. But if you're there for one night and not going to be spending a lot of time in your room, it's not an issue. The... more
