The room was well laid out and very functional including the kitchenette. Rooms were quiet and well maintained and was clean and fresh. Very central location being just off lampton quay and close to westpac stadium and the waterfront We stayed here for a weekend trip to the rugby and were very happy

I'm generally generous with my views. The Quest on Johnston is the second worst hotel I've ever stayed in. I'm in room 8D which on the fire escape plan looks like one of the larger single apartments. I have 2 windows both slightly larger than a sheet of A3 paper that are single glazed and don't shut properly, so you... More

Would recommend this hotel - great central Wellington location (short walk to museums and waterfront; restaurants and public transport close by), friendly reception staff, comfortable and clean rooms well set up for the traveller (the small kitchen is great if you don't want to eat out). Comfortable bed. Room was warm considering the weather! Would stay there again.

If you want to be in central city Wellington then this is a great location. Just round the corner from Lambton Quay and a block away from the waterfront. We had a 2 bedroom apartment. Main bedroom very large, second bedroom was adequate but the clothes hanging space was pretty tiny. Spacious living and kitchen area, but such a small... More

Do not stay on the street side unless they have stopped the man on the street cleaning vehicle from doing lazy 8s at 2 am. You cannot sleep! it is TOTALLY ridiculous! The streets are like canyons so the noise reverberates round. Rest of the place is fine. Staff helpful. I did this review in February but it does not... More

Stayed for a weekend, in 2 bedroom unit, with our three children. We were very happy to find such friendly staff, and enjoy a spacious room on the 15th floor. Plenty of room for the 3 children in one room, and a good sized lounge / dining / kitchen also. Clean and warm, the Quest on Johnston was great value,... More

We booked a two bedroom suite for a night and Quest on Johnston and Citylife were the same price. Our stay was average in all respects. The room was an OK size (tiny bathroom though) and very outdated. It was clean and warm and everything worked and we had no major dramas. However, about 3-4 times prior to arriving I... More

Stayed here for a night twice- over space of a week- with two teenage children. The problem is that the main bedroom is very cramped with no space beside beds. The bathroom likewise is incredibly pokey -room for only one person -with the door closed. Reception is closed from 6pm. It is not cheap (Fri. night $259) but feels pretty... More

Great stay at this hotel, very good price for an apartment in CBD. Very clean and well appointed. The room even had a washing machine and dryer if needed. Close to railway station, ferries and a short walk to everything. Would definitely stay again.

Warm friendly welcome, check in quick & easy. Small room, but ok for the two of as for one night. Comfortable large bed. The only negative that we would have is the outside noise, with street cleaner about 10pm & later & the rubbish bin pick up from 4am onwards. Doule glazing to the windows would have helped. Would we... More
