We stayed here for 2 nights and on arrival were upgraded to a suite with lounge, bedroom and kitchen with a large bathroom which had both a bath and shower . Quality of furnishings, bedding, towels and toiletries was excellent. Breakfast was included and had everything you could want . As the weather was not very good (cold and windy)... More

Only had a really brief stay at the Bolton, arriving pretty late at night and departing early the following morning, but enjoyed a comfortable stay. Had a suite which was pretty well sized with a lounge/kitchenette area and a separate good sized bedroom. Was nice to see some modern touches such as iPads in the room, which I wasn’t expecting.... The staff here were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Our room was small, quiet, very comfortable and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the walk to the harbour and bars. Very pleasant stay and convenient for the city and the ferry. We did pay for parking at the hotel, which was really buying peace of mind.

The staff here were very helpful and friendly, especially the young valet parking guy John. Our suite was beautiful, huge bathroom, separate bedroom, living room & kitchen/laundry area. There was a lot of nice inclusions - iPad mini, stocked bar & refrigerator and lovely bathroom supplies. I wish I could afford to live here.

Funny old world as I can't understand the glowing reviews of this place. It was our first real disappointment of a long trip which has included some real 5 star hotels. Neither service or facilities here were anything like 5 star. Bed is ok but the bathroom fittings are like a bad cheap motel. Just a room with a toilet,... More

The staff was outstanding. Zara Christie reception/concierge went out of her way to make us comfortable, Sean the porter was extremely helpful, and the larger rooms are gorgeous. First class kitchen, bed linens, bathroom. The gym/hot tub was great. It was a 15 minute walk to the waterfront which didn't hurt us considering all the great New Zealand food we... More

The Bolton is at the parliament/business district end of town so is a bit of a walk (10-15 mins) from what limited action there is down town or from the bar area. The quayside is quite close but few people are out & about in this end of town after 8pm. There are multiple room grades with the 'standard' being... More

Had a great stay at the Bolton. The hotel is not right on the water near Wellington but that was actually a plus as it was cold near the water. It was nice walking a lot of places... nothing was too far (maybe 20 minutes) got us out and about! The staff went above and beyond. They were amazing, even... More

We had a mini suite which was great - huge bathroom, separate sitting room with kitchenette. Everything was clean, well equipped, comfortable, and there were very helpful staff. Location is probably better suited to business users than tourists, unless the focus of your stay is the Westpac! The breakfast buffet was reasonable - nothing special but OK. Maybe I'm being... From the moment we arrived everything about the hotel was first class. The reception staff were very welcoming, the concierge was very helpful. We were in a classic suite room which had one of the most comfortable beds I have every slept in.The breakfast was varied and tasty and we even enjoyed a swim, spa and sauna in their health suite. The only downside was...
