This campersite is perfectly located for easy access from the ferries and the city. As everyone has said, it IS just a carpark with toilet facilities and showers but if you want to be close to the city then this is totally the best place for it! The chap running the place was super friendly and let us park the... More

Literally by the harbour and ideal for a stopover if you are just off the ferry or travelling across the Straits. Not exactly glamorous and the facilities leave a lot to be desired, but when you're in a van it doesn't matter too much. Ideal for a wander around the harbour and into the city.

This place is absolutely fine if you know what it is. It is just a carpark - not a campsite. There are no dump facilities although they do have (not overly clean) showers and toilets. You are right by the ferry port but you are also right by a main road so it's not quiet or scenic by any means!... More

Sounded a bit strange, a carpark again (as in Picton!) by the port, but this was a campervan only site with proper bathrooms containing a shower and a toilet. Kept very clean. A code to get in them. Although there is a little road noise the site is so convenient for walking in to the town centre or along the... More

Ideal location to get into the city by bus. On the other side, the campground is not more than a parking space. One Camper besides the other. Over 30 lots and only two toilets and showers. It's far not worth the price. Additionally the Wi-Fi is very expensive, too, and only accessible at the reception.

One of Trip Advisers reviewers remarked of this site 'It does what it says on the tin' and that is exactly right! It is expensive, but defray that cost against City parking fees for a motorhome and you have a perfectly reasonable deal. It is perhaps not suitable for an extended stay as facilities are lacking compared to most NZ... More

Right in Downtown, 5mins to ferry, 2mins to rail stn and buses.Showers, toilets, power - terrific. This is an ideal spot to park up with all facilities on site to relax after arriving on a ferry or after a long road trip whilst awaiting an early ferry. Highly recommended.

having read some negative reviews of this place we were pleasantly surprised. it is a small carpark so there is no grass for children to play on. But you are right in the middle of Wellington - very close to excellent restaurants and next door to the ferry - which is excellent especially if you are booked on the early... More

We stayed there 5 days, access to interisland ferries right next door if you use the Blueridge Ferry and about 1/2 km if you use the Interislander, clean amenities, helpful friendly staff a little bit noisy, but then you are right in the city and right on the wharf. Definitely recommend as our other closet option to Wellington was Lower... More

This site is all about the location, smack bang in the middle of Wellington. You can walk to everywhere within the city. The site provides showers and toilets which are really clean. There are no other facilities. But I can't stress enough the location is fantastic. Right in the heart of everything,
