We are used to staying at serviced apartments and have enjoyed them ,,,,until this place! We had two wishes....To watch the main TV One News and to connect the laptop to send some important emails. What a fiasco, after trying two internet cables from reception, and some assistance from staff I was unable to use my laptop at all. The... more

Having booked 17 motels for a 21 day trip i was dissapointed with this one it was horrendous to get to from dock from ferry in a rental car and they have very limited off street parking which has to be booked difficult when you dont know that while you are travelling so had to park on street and feed... more

We stayed for 1 night in Dec 2008. We checked in after-hours and we received instructions on how to obtain our keys at the time we made the booking, as the reception was closed. We didn’t have any problems. We paid NZD 89 for a Queen Studio apartment plus NZD 15 for car park. Their car park is very steep... more

I stayed with my 2 daughters and their 5 month old sons for 5 nights in October 2008. During that time my daughters called the USA using a toll-free Verizon calling card. On checking out we found phone charges totalling $467 for 13 calls. We queried these charges and were told that their phone system could NOT HANDLE calls to... more

Just spent four nights at the Quest on the Terrace in a king studio apartment on level 6 with a balcony (room 6G). I was really hesitant on booking this property due to the reviews of other Quest properties, however i was nicely surprised, the apartment was modern, clean, quite and had all the facilities you need like plates, microwave,... more

About
Feb 1, 2008 | Trip type: Couples

This accommodation did not comply with the description provided by Quest that it was "New Refurbished", was in poor condition and was not a 4-star hotel as claimed. The hotel was advertised as newly refurbished but the work was not finished. Hallways were a work in progress with torn and stained carpets, and missing architraves in many places. Our apartment... more

Having had a wonderful holiday in beautiful New Zealand this was absolutely the worst place we have ever stayed. The staff were unhelpful and rarely there, the hallways smelled terrible. The list goes on and on. We had a broken window in our room which my son cut his hand on thinking it was a cobweb. The shower had mold... more

Stayed for 2 nights (thankfully). Main corridors on floors in desperate need of a make over. 2 bed apt was overall a bit grubby. No travel cot in apt (as requested at time of booking). Fortunately didnt need it on arrival. Initially very worried by the safety of our daughter. Windows in bedrooms were at a toddlers height and easily... more

My first impressions of this hotel were not good as the smell the hallway leading to my room was just about unbearable. The room itself was fine although it wasn't overly clean. It was the little things that annoyed me e.g. the phone didn't work, they forgot to replace the new towels they had changed, TV had terrible reception, no... more
